It's a bit annoying, to be honest. There are plenty of nice guys in books, shows, and films, but to this disturbingly weepy degree, I've never seen it before. Mr. Darcy, Steve Rogers, Superman, and Jamie Fraser just to name a few, are all nice guys we love and root for. But here, in this drama, I can't extricate the kindness from the apathy.
