Any actor/actress who is good looking would not make this drama work. Werenât you just saying that many stone-faced actors/actresses only have their looks to rely on? Plus the story was written with him in mind as the ML. Also, as revolutionary as the story may seem to Chinese audiences and cdrama watchers - that are used to endless adaptations and scripts based on preexisting IP - itâs hardly unique for people who are used to films and tv shows from many other countries.
