Hi everyone! I'm thinking of watching this drama but I'm afraid it will be very tragic and dramatic. What is it…
If you already watched the untamed and thought their romantic relationship was pretty recognizable, i would say, you will ask yourself, why this drama even passed the censorship.
As for the story, there are some tragic moments. It's kinda inevitable because of its setting (Beijing/Beiping in 1930s). And I'm not gonna lie, especially last three episodes are an emotional roller coaster (at least for me). But, the drama as a whole has rather a lighter and positive tone in spite of its historical background. There are surprisingly a lot of comedic moments! It's definitely NOT a dreaded, serious, depressing tragedy.
If you want to watch a historical romantic BL adaptation with full of three dimensional characters and their plausible character developments combined with the tight plot line, I can wholeheartedly recommend you this drama! And Big Bonus! This drama is simply a visual feast. Enjoy!
Omg some one tell me this old woman she is the wife of cheng feng she is not beautiful and also look like his…
The relationship btw. Cheng Fengtai and Fan Xiang'er was the stark contrast to the relationship of CFT & SXR. So, the audience can easily understand, how special their "soulmate" or whatever bond was. And at least Fan Xiang'er in the drama was, yes, still very conservative like in the novel, but quite capable and rather fair. It was not her fault, that Cheng Fengtai had never really loved her and totally fell for another person. I think, this whole relationship dynamic made this story rather interesting. (and i feel a bit sorry for ErNainai)
This was an emotional ride.Excellent acting from everyone, but please do not yell me they separated, I saw the…
I think, even if SXR missed the train, if he determined to go to HK, he eventually found the way to get there. (after all he had still a good connection with a lot of important ppl in Beiping.) He couldn't answer, when CFT asked him to go to HK with him in the backstage, because he was, imho, kind of trapped by his own words. However, when he saw the empty corridor from the stage, he realized that he has already chosen CFT over the opera. CFT was his stage and love of his life. This whole drama depicted the growth of SXR (as dramatour beautifully put) and this realisation of him was a final step. That's my take.
