just a word of advice for young people out there: Men will say anything, promise you anything when they are horny. They may say "i'm your boyfriend" just before sex, but after sex, it's a different matter.
Netflix literally have many gay series and movies in its library, then why would they need to please homophobic…
The actors need to please the fans. Especially taecyeon. He received backlash when it was first announced in 2024. Go google. It’s there for you to read. Korea is a conservative and homophobic country, not everyone but a lot of them. that’s why the story changed. Be smarter, do your research before commenting
People need to stop defending this show “if you want kissing, it’s not for you.” It’s NOT about the physical intimacy. It’s ok not to have physical contact. But did they say “I love you” “I want to be with you forever”? Did they express their love VERBALLY? No, then it’s queer baiting, then you’re delusional to think they are in love. The ambiguity is used to please bl fans and homophobic fans because you can interpret it both ways.
Netflix promoted it as BL in June 2024, go google. It was reported in GQ, Variety, legit magazines. Then somewhere along the way, they change the story. What happened? Not taking a stance is already taking a stance siding with the homophobes.

But ep 6 is so full of love and regret and pain and everyone’s trying to do the right thing. The brother demolishing the house because it brings painful memories of his dad favouring Kuji. Kuji understanding his brother and therefore not pressing the brother to keep the house. Kuji and azuma living together as a couple that they got apples from the mom. The look of love from kuji’s eyes - omg no actor ever expressed that kind of love in their eyes. Azuma associating the house with Kuji, growing old together in that house. But when he hears it’s about to be demolished, he gets so sad but doesn’t say anything because he knows Kuji is even sadder.
It’s so brilliant but everything is internal. So if you don’t get it, you don’t. It’s not for you. Don’t force yourself.
