No i would suggest watch this first. Its prequel. If you watch blood of youth first which is good gonna fo re-watch…
DY is the prequel of BOY. The parents of the characters in BOY are the characters here in DY like Xiao Roujin is the father of Xiao Chuhe, Sikong Changfeng is the father of Qianlou, Ye Dingzhi/Ye Yun and Wenjun are the parents of Wuxin/Ye Anshi, Lei Mengsha and Li Xinyue are the parents of Li Hanyi and Lei Wujie, etc. For Baili Dongjun, he ends up with Yue Yao. Yin Lou Xia is a different character. Yue Yao used Yin Lou Xia name to hide her identity. Yue Yao in BOY is already dead so I guess she will die at the end of DY (or not). The real Yin Lou Xia becomes one of the elders in Xueyue City shown in BOY which Sikong Changfeng, Baili Dongjun and Li Hanyi are the three lords.
Hmm I know there's a weird timeline problem with DY and BOY, but if Wenjun is pregnant as shown in the teaser, does it mean Xiao Chong and Xiao Chuhe are already born? Because aren't they older than Xiao Yu (Wenjun and Roujin's son)?
I'm rewatching BOY while waiting for DY new eps and I found a very little error in the stories lol (more like…
In BOY, when Lei Wujie (Lei Mengsha & Li Xinyue's son) visited Sword Heart Tomb, his grandfather told him the story of how his parents met. His grandpa said, Lei Mengsha together with Baili Dongjun went to Sword Heart where Lei met his wife. BUT in DY, Lei and Li are already husband and wife before Lei met Dongba 😅 I haven't read novels (if there is) so this is just what I have found out while watching both dramas simultaneously. Not really a big deal but it just amazes me how writers wrote these dramas esp when the sequel came out first, good dramas!
I'm rewatching BOY while waiting for DY new eps and I found a very little error in the stories lol (more like a timeline - commented below) but anyway, I just want to say how good and interesting both dramas are. For those who have watched BOY, some of us might feel a bit scared of what happens to the characters here and those who chose to watch this first is in for a good sequel waiting after this. This drama is so good!
Okay that's it. I will rewatch this because DY got me hooked lol I already forgot most things from BOY (I seldom rewatch dramas, the cdramas I ever rewatched were Loveo2o and Go Ahead) and I know BOY is a good drama because I do remember dramas that are unexpectedly good
I know this is the prequel of The Blood of Youth but since I've watched that kinda long ago, I already forgot it 😅 Do I need to rewatch it to understand this prequel or this is a totally separate story with the cast being the "prequel"?
I just finished the drama. I like ZJM and ZLH, and no offense to the other actors and actresses but the way their characters are written are honestly a bit questionable including the turn of events. Writer's fault, I guess. Anyway, I don't have much to say but my disappointment about the last episode being mostly dedicated to SRQ. It was so dramatic ugh. We didn't even get to see a grand wedding or the children. It was all about LR power and her 17-year entanglement with SRQ. I felt bad for PWX character. He was highly capable on the first episodes but suddenly gone. ML getting a bit more of his usual screentime on ep 40 🔥 Great, congrats to the ML hahaha
Don't say that, or you will be bombarded by LR supporters who think that to have a strong FL, she must always…
Lol hahaha I laughed at that last sentence but that's the problem tho, I've seen some Cdramas with good FL characters but this one, yes LR is strong in politics, she is good at plotting but she is indecisive in relationships. People might think she doesn't trust others easily but it's not the case. She trusts easily whomever she wants to trust that's why she is so indecisive and gets hurt easily. About her having choices, she already picked PWX so that means she already dropped the other option which she doesn't do, yes? Hahahaha I haven't read the novel but just basing on the drama, the ML doesn't feel like ML but rather what we call "FL's bestfriend character" hahahaha they showed him equally great as the FL in terms of intelligence but he's only shown most of the times to serve as the "jealous husband" when SRQ is around and say sweet words. Anyway, still finishing this just to know how it ends 🤷🏽♀️
I just reached half of ep 33. It's a mistake I read a comment before starting this because it kind of influence my thinking of how LR kept on going to SRQ. So who really is the ML/SML here? Because I'm confused. In this life, LR loves PWX but can't let go of her feelings for SRQ. It's like an emotional cheating while watching this show 🤔 kinda annoys me for many times now. And now I'm seeing some spoils that LR suddenly puts her trust back to SRQ. Watched this bc of ZJM and ZLH & bc this is one of the popular shows now alongside The Double
Many thanks to those who encouraged me to watch a few more episodes after I commented I couldn't finish the first…
It's the same for me. Usually I get hooked at the ep 1 of dramas but this one, the plot confused me even until ep 3 but around that episode, while it is confusing, it is also getting interesting. So I continued to watch and now on ep 8, I'm now liking it 😊
I'm glad to watch this! I don't know why a lot of comments says it's bad. Glad I didn't check the comments but proceed to just watch it.
It's an easy watch. There are ofc unnecessary parts but lots of cdramas have those (that's why I learn the power of fast forwarding) but still this is an interesting, fun and sweet watch. The characters are mature when it comes to work. The FL isn't cringe (it is her acting on the first few eps) and you will know why. She will stop doing that around ep 7 or 8. They have misunderstandings, yes, because it's both their first relationship, but everything gets resolved fast. All in all, a good watch if you're after something light and short
Had a break watching cdramas for weeks and saw these recent dramas releases (my fav genre finally) so I'm gonna watch this weekend but anyone who is kind enough to explain how is this different or related to Sword and Fairy 4? Why do they have same title? Thanks a lot!!
This was good but it could have been better as there are many times I was confused. First part was good and interesting but the ending, it kind of feels rushed. Also, the plot of reincarnation/time travel made me a bit confused. FL time traveled to future but hints of reincarnation for the ML happens but was dismissed to just memories of another man from another time which was the usual reincarnation ingredient. Same man + same name + same memories = reincarnation but they made it ML past & ML new as separate persons which was confusing bc tbh it would have been easy to digest if ML new was a reincarnation of ML past & FL time travelling without reincarnating is just a continuation of their story from past to present. They made it too confusing so now it feels like they did the ML past the 2ML in this story for having unrequited love to FL but never received the love bc ML new is the ML. That's why to me, this could have been a better written story but it is still interesting. Comedy is okay but like others, the way the FL and 2nd couple female were easy to accept the modernisation is a bit weird. I get the clothes bc FL was not conservative in making her clothes but other things? Buildings and modern technology doesn't seem to bother them. The adaptability was too fast lol but well this is a drama and a 12-ep drama at that so those things were easy to set aside. Anyway, this is an okay drama. For me this is good and watchable but not highly recommendable 👍
What's with the comments? Why is there a lot of fighting between dramas rather than discussions of the episodes? 😅 The dramas mentioned are different from one another anyway. As someone who really loved AJTL, this drama and AJTL doesn't even have similarities in plots for ppl to compare? Also ALP, has it's own charm. Even tho ALP was shown years before, I can still remember how great the visual effects of that drama bc it's more on the God and wars settings and it is also a good drama.
But this drama is also good. No need to compare. Both leads are doing well. I even got teary eyed in the ep 37 teaser, means to show atleast for me, the two leads are good in acting! Anyway, back to plot. I am so satisfied of how YQ and AG confronted HS lol so much for confidence, she really needs to learn her place esp her father. Also the Aunt from Qing Chi Palace lol can't wait for the next episodes when she knew who Feng Yin really is!
THIS drama is just about regretting past decisions. While the characters in this drama got their second chance,…
Reading this comment reminded me of another drama SOT where FL tries to correct her mistakes. I also hope lessons like this becomes valuable to viewers because second chance is really hard to come by
Wow. I was having second thoughts on whether to watch this bc of it's kind of similarities with SOKP and how the comments say the ending should have been on ep 29. But for me, this is a really good drama! Ep 30 was a twist you won't always see on cdramas bc of the plot and the usual HE or open ending viewers want. Ep 30 was a real lesson for everyone 👍 Life doesn't always work the way we think about it. That's what it felt like in the drama. I hope people would see the drama or any dramas in general as a whole and it's valuable lessons/ whatever message they would want to portray and not only for the entertainment purposes which ofc is its primary purpose. For the lack of skinship, it really didn't bother me bc what I look forward the most was the plot and how she would reverse the things she did before and how those things would result in another events. Also the cast did good. I love Zhou Ye in here! This is a really good drama, I'm glad I didn't set any expectations
