Beautiful OST, Great Acting, and Sweet Justice for ML

The acting is very good. The OST is beautiful and makes me want to hear it again and again. The actors are also handsome and beautiful, especially knowing Zhao Lusi is playing in it. The story is actually good too, though some parts are not really my cup of tea.

There was a part when the ML’s indecisiveness led to the FL suffer. But because of that, somehow, a sense of satisfaction built up in me knowing the ML will regret it like : yeah, serve you right, that’s what you get, ML, because of your actions, just regret it for life.

But overall, the story has a happy ending, so it’s okay, and later the FL becomes powerful again because she returned to her own identity.

Think It Will Be Tragedy, Turn Out Happy Ending

Good story, good acting. Beautiful and handsome actor. The chemistry between each couple is good. I like Wu Shiguang x Wu Wangyan couple, but this Ji Ling x Lu Wuyi couple is so sweet and both of them were ready to sacrifice themself to save each other. The story has too many heartbreaking and sacrifice moments. Many lies and deceitful that it make me confuse who is the enemy, who lies, who speak the truth (not the main enemy). But turn out the truth will reveal and it will have happy ending.

MUST WATCH IF YOU LIKE INTIMATE MOMENTS!!!

Finally!!! A drama with lots of intimate kissing scenes starting quite early (around episode 10+ I think, which is still early compared to most dramas 😂). And thankfully, no major misunderstandings.

The best part for me was definitely the male lead. He was VERY strong — giving that powerful CEO vibe mixed with supernatural abilities and a “there’s nothing I can’t do” aura. I know many Chinese dramas have strong MLs, but this one stayed strong even after going through so many things. LOVE LOVE LOVE.

P.S. I also really liked his smile. It looked so sweet on his face 🥺

But honestly, there were still some flaws that made me a little sad. Like when the FL disappeared for good twice. The first time, "I felt the grief of losing a lover" wasn’t shown enough. Maybe because the ML believed he could still find her again through three lifetimes? Still, you could see a little sadness and tears from him.

The second time felt even more rushed because the story suddenly moved to the modern world without showing what happened to the ML in the wuxia world. Even the ML’s death scene could’ve been done better since it happened too fast, so as viewers we didn’t really get enough time to feel the heartbreak. The ending also felt rushed because of the sudden transition to the modern storyline.

But overall, I still really enjoyed the story. So for me, it’s a 9/10.

One of the Best Strong FL Stories I’ve Watched

Well, it’s just my type of story. Aside from the actors, I really like stories where the female lead comes from a poor background but is mentally strong and never lets people walk all over her. She’s kind too, to the point that she helps a stranger who later turns out to be the male lead.

The male lead hides who he really is at first, but he’s actually powerful, wealthy, and comes from a noble family. He’s also a respected leader. They start off in a marriage of convenience, but slowly fall for each other along the way.

I also like the male lead’s personality. At first, he’s very quiet and keeps everything to himself. But after he starts caring about the female lead, you can really see how protective he becomes. There was one scene where the female lead got targeted and ended up collapsing because the enemy played dirty during the fight. Seeing her hurt completely changed his expression, and even the people around him were shocked by how cold and furious he suddenly became.

What I also loved about this story was that there was a post-credit scene at the end of the final episode. Most ancient fantasy C-dramas just end on some vague happy note—like the characters have to part ways to protect the world or something, and then they meet again, and that’s it. But The Pursuit of Jade isn’t like that. We actually get to see what happens after the happy ending, not just a quick “we met, now everything’s fine” scene.
