I can forgive some writing oopsies now and then but the whole “nope, meteorite.” like seriously wow. how could he come to terms with his two friends dying if he was in the crash and forgot the events in the borderlands? It wasn’t some “all in his head” because everybody was infact real. I like some of the theories about the truth behind the borderlands, and also the whole “joker” card (and some of you guys imply theres a manga difference? Should i read the manga to find out the actual ending?) being god or something. Maybe the joker is real life? That’d be kinda cool to see how they pull it off. They mention their hearts stopping, this means they are “clinically dead” for that time, perhaps the borderlands is a messed up mix between the afterlife and this one. As a messed up in-between that would explain a lot of the similarities to real life but at the same time some of the absolutist and dire qualities of the borderlands. There seem to be a lot of tests of character, and themes of judgement, its like life but on extreme mode.
