If you ignore the romance part, it was good.
I watched this as someone who had experience laid off when i was sick. So I will make review based from FL perspective.
FL has no privilege. She's just like us—an unlucky person who gets laid off on her first day of employment, an ordinary person who stays up all night working on a proposal. Her story begins in the depths of despair and is completed through resilience. I like Liang Wenjing acting in here. It feels natural without being over cute in no place.
This drama is very well-made, especially the workplace scenes. Although there are some dramatic exaggerations, the set design is excellent, and the characters' development is clear. Many working professionals who watched this drama must have felt a jolt of unease (including me). The overly realistic plot created a strong sense of discomfort, especially the scene where they congratulated someone with sex, was particularly triggering. I want to tell young girls be very careful when you encounter this kind of so-called mentor in the workplace. This drama shows difficult for young women to discern whether a powerful figure's success is due to age, position, or love. Once you have a relationship with a powerful figure, all your hard work will be erased.
The cons is the romance part; Zhao Tingyi almost didn't show any chemistry with Liang Wenjing. It feels Liang Wenjing trying hard to build up the chemistry but Zhao Tingyi builds some invisible wall for her. Don't know why Zhao Tingyi skills in here kind of being nerfed. If the chemistry were there, it would be more better.
Still recommended to watch.
