Quite light comedy but romance part was still underwheming.

I watched this because of plot and Ma Xiao Yu on non usual expertise role. Personally this is my first ever to finish Deng Ling Shu drama since her previous dramas are not my cup of tea. Both are quite have decent acting in here. I quite like the dynamic duo between Ma Xiao Yu and Deng Ling Shu but as romantic couple they are still not passable as lovers.

Plot is about FL was the mafia leader who trapped on generic CEO love drama story and it's one of the reason she got crows mouth while ML got mind-reading. It feels like they mixed generic trop like transmigration + marriage-first-love trop +mind reading ML+ transmigrated FL into one story and the execution was successfully since the plot was quite meticulous with some little flaw that we can forgive. FL's curse mouth not working on the ML but backfired to herself adds a sense of destiny to their relationship.

ML's character isn't as distinct as FL's; he's a simple, self-absorbed, love-struck individual whose daily inner monologue oscillates between gradually falling for her. The mind-reading ability doesn't significantly enhance the character; it seems to provide an initial opportunity for him to fall in love with the FL and also serves as some emotional support for his later affections. He's also still decent CEO who never said hurtful words to his wife-he is quite delicate for usual scumbag ML on same plot. He knew all along that the FL was acting to maintain her delicate, pampered image, but he was willing to play along and never question her—Love this part.

There are no clichéd drugging or mistaken identity plots. The kidnapping scenes are funny and not the traditional melodramatic kind. The relationship growth between ML and FL feels natural and the pacing is comfortable. But the kisses was not intense enough it feels too PG-13.

Some scenes are a bit childish, but as a lighthearted comedy, it's perfectly fine. I feel ML is a bit of a background character, often absent, so he doesn't seem to have much room to develop his character, and their interactions are limited, resulting in a weak sense of chemistry and the dubbing was quite not natural since i quite enjoy Ma Xiao Yu real voice but it can't be helped since the drama is from Tinghuadao.

Still worth to watch if you enjoy light comedy.
