The tale about two repressed leads.

I watched this drama because i quite like Feng Ming Chao and Chen Lu Xi pair. For them i have no doubt about their chemistry but sometime their script was like Russian Roulete. Sometimes i enjoy, Sometimes i loathe it. The costumes, makeup, and props are beautiful, the filters are natural and the entire series uses original voice.

The story revolves around the self-redemption of two emotionally repressed individuals from unhappy family backgrounds. Sometimes the emotional transitions feel a bit abrupt, as if something was cut out (Perhaps due the censoring since i believe the original story was about BDSM).

ML was bullied to the point of being pathological, possesses a strong sense of morality and is resilient and restrained. FL was submissive to her toxic parents' manipulation, is proactive towards ML, creating a complex and compelling character. ML sees the female lead as an adorable kitten, while the FL sees him as radiating warmth. She feels a secret joy at his affection yet also a sense of unworthiness, a restrained struggle that makes the story so compelling. All the emotions are reciprocal, a natural progression of feelings.

Recommended to watch.
