i’m so excited for this. the trailer looks so fun, feels like the kind of drama i’d enjoy. the storyline kind of reminds me of linghe’s drama flourish in time, but i dropped that one because the age gap made me uncomfortable. this one feels a lot better though. jinmai is so cute and charming 🥹 can’t wait for july 🤞🏼
the cliffhanger is making me feral, and only one episode for tonight 😩 i should’ve just let this drama marinate instead of watching it while it’s still ongoing
wow, i'm really wondering how they’ll fit all of this into the drama we’re already on episode 11, and it’s only going to have 23 episodes. that feels way too short
One thing I'm not sure of, why did FL burn the diary, and give the music box back? She could've kept it as proof.…
i think it’s mainly out of respect. in chinese culture, they burn the belongings of the dead as a way to send those things to the afterlife. it’s believed this helps make sure their loved ones are well provided for and honored even after death.
but anyway, about her planhonestly i’m not too sure 😭 it seems smart but it’s still too early… i feel like something’s gonna go wrong or twist big time. we’re only at ep 10, anything can happen fr. like what if someone exposes her or things don’t go the way she expected? i don’t trust the peace right now lmao
i’m really invested in today’s episode. i wish mdl would change the poster tho because this clearly isn’t your typical youth and soft cdrama. this drama clearly talks about women’s struggles how they’re silenced, blamed, and expected to just endure everything.
you really see it with how her dad’s side acts. they pmo fr 😭 always silencing the women and making them take the fall, even when it’s the men who clearly messed up. they expect the women to stay quiet, be “understanding,” and carry the blame like it’s their job to fix everything. and when it’s the men? it’s always “he’s still young,” “he didn’t know any better.” like be serious. they never gave that same grace to beiyu, and she was even younger.
no wonder qingyu’s mom acts the way she does. she’s been forced to carry so much guilt and pain that was never even hers to begin with. i seriously can’t wait for qingyu to get her justice. someone needs to finally speak up and break that toxic cycle.
I love how perfectly the relationships portray Asian culture to a T. Even the small ones, like the grandma only…
as someone who grew up in an asian household, the mom is so relatable 😬 always paranoid, constant nagging , and always assuming you’re up to no good lol
damn, i really miss this drama so much. i can’t even count how many times i've rewatched it at this point. every time i rewatch, it still hits just as hard. it'll probably take years before season 2 happens, but idc i’m willing to wait
the posters for this show are kinda terrible no shade😭 like the vibe is very similar to tff but the posters…
right, it looks like a soft youth drama in the poster, but i think that’s just mdl's choice tbh lol. they’ve posted so many other posters that fit the story way better i don’t get why they picked this one 😭??
Episodes 7–8: the slow burn between the leads is finally showing now that they’re starting to open up to each other, and it's making me even more invested. for those who’ve finished the novel, i have a question, will mumu turn against qingyu or not? i’m really loving their bond, and that flashback of beiyu teaching qingyu how to dance, just like mumu, made me emotional. i’m scared she’ll betray qingyu. that girl has had it rough enough.
i don't want this drama to end faster but i really can't wait for the next episode
Thursday, 26 June: Episodes 14-15
