romance is also part of the genre. their hugs were mostly short and happens when they're in a bad situation. kiss scenes may not be necessary but it acts as a build for their love story. i mean, wouldn't you wanna see at least forehead kisses? or peck on the cheek would be nice to see. their eye-to-eye was mostly in the early episodes when they were arguing with each other. even in episode 26 when ZQ was talking about the day he found MM cute, ZQ was the only one intimately looking at her. anyways, the answer to your questions is, we need to see em cute interactions okay. The plot is nice and all but this as a romcom, we need that 'kilig' feels.

naaah, she never really liked ZQ's dad and especially ZQ. she hated them in the beginning and will continue to hate them. 'coz for her, they are the cause of death of Goddess Mei (Mu Rong Er). ZQ's dad knew who ZQ as he actually said "My Son". therefore, Fei Demon-Liu Niang (*funny 'coz this is the FL's name in Melody of Golden Age), did not took the memories of ZQ's dad. that's what i believe in.
