I was having issues with how K-drama is slowly proceeding in those days, like screen times are much the same but they stare at each other so much longer, the conversations are odd, stories are plate....
It was a time for me that I've been watching dramas in x2 faster option. Well, looks like I didn't need for this one and enjoyed the humour of it one by one, it is all a bit dark comedy and religious nervousness but I love it!
Some drastic sceneries were so on point that may express some meaningful messages to the world in this time of crime & violence.
The evil guy of episode 5, still gives me chills... He owned the episode, and performed a ONE-MAN-SHOW during the investigation-room scene... such an actor... how crazy it was !!
Also, we should praise each evil character's actors and actresses since they were awesome, we felt it!
I'm so but so sorry to recognize him that late... With Signal and Taxi Driver, he suddenly -but seriously suddenly like after 1-2 episodes of each- became my favourite male actor in Korea. Well, firstly I think I was too affected by how good these two dramas were and their aura was the thing I phrase Je-Hoon that much but no, I know now; I was sincere and he was a genuine talent that needed to shine. And yet yes, nowadays I think he shines more than ever with Taxi Driver Series, thanks God. PS. Yet a fangirl's in-voice: he is so good to be true, not gonna lie oh and I was almost forgetting; he CAN'T be in the 84' line, I mean no!
Hey!! You still wanna watch? Then why are you not watching it on gohitv.com
I was able to watch only the 1st episode with eng sub here, the other episodes weren't with subs, I checked again after you recommend and I can't see them still. But Thanks for the concern. :')
I mean, seriously, if someone finds 8 episodes with eng sub, please comment below and let me know, it's been years and after i re-recognised the drama thanks to youtube edits, i wanna watch it badly, again. But I can't find it anywhere, so before i lost my desire to watch i'm leaving it 'on hold', so when the sub-version is available on anywhere doesn't matter, i will watch peacefully, eagerly <3 *and of course, i will share the link if i find somewhere 8 episodes with eng sub :)
I don't know anything but how talented he is! Even from just one drama or scene, you can tell his talent, just hope to see him raising and shinning more :)
Kim So Hyun as Brianna Randal / Yang Se Jong as Roger Wakefield I could easily image, they suit the characters so well! the best duo in this article! seriously give them a drama, asap :')
For the rest, all so rational suggestions if you ask, even though I admire the character Claire the actress, and I do not like Song Hye Kyo that much... they are a great match! I can easily image her in Claire's confident feminine aura...
But as an additional suggestion, while thinking about Claire, I suddenly switched her with Jun Ji Hyun, her beauty, her clean-pure visual&aura, fearless but fragile glances, attraction for every generation(eternal youth which is also a strong feature for Jamie either)... etc
not as much as Jun Ji Hyun matches the Claire, I think, but other actress came to my mind; Son Ye Jin , for also her pure-clean image with strong feminine-confident + look of 'being capable of anything',
...needs a ML-main lead drama ASAP His performance in Alchemy of Souls was beyond expected- it was awesome... the screen-time and scripts wasn't even enough for his talent! Looking forward for his ML drama!
I usually do not prefer to watch current/ongoing/airing dramas since waiting for the new episodes might cause me losing my interest. And to be honest, I've been kinda having a break with K-drama(s) because nowadays they pop up a lot but the old taste is nearly gone, and I was dropping them one by one. Well, not for this one!
I saw all trailers and advertisements but overlooked them at first. Then, I saw a couple of edits/cuts from the scenes where they were hilarious in the taste of good-old-days Kdrama(s). For example, the interactions between 2 man friend leads and 2 female friend leads. Side characters contribute as much as they needed to step up the episode. So you don't get bored in side-scenes. I gave it a chance and started the drama because I needed a fun drama to overcome the daily over-stress I have been through in those days. (Nobody asked but yes I'm an architecture student and life is not easy) I was hooked on the drama from the very first scene... Not a perfect-classy-cult drama itself; yes, but better-than-the-others, managed to give that middle-age-of-Kdramas vibe, which was what I needed.
To demonstrate, a middle-age-Kdrama is something like giving vibes of 'Why Secretary Kim? (WSK), Strong Woman Do Bong Soon, She Was Pretty... etc. (p.s I intensely found this drama similar to WSK, besides the overall -boss-employee- relationships. The vibe main leads in both dramas give... like 'I'm too good for this world...' vibe. childish but cute. After the drama is finalised, I can literally and I want to list the similarities, that much for me. :')
(for the ones interested; the list above can go like; My Secret Romance, Jugglers, Her Private Life, Suspicious Partner, I'm Not a Robot, Faith, Fight For My Way, Hwarang, Love in the Moonlight, Oh My Ghost... well well many that we enjoyed watching a lot that now, wish to forget and watch again.)
As a foreign drama-audience, I have to say that I heard many rumours but never tried to get into(research) details. Because it's not needed. Because I have no interest in his personal-life, I only care about his health&peace and career. I know it sounds a bit reckless but it's already obvious for years that he is good -amazing- actor improving himself; therefore, I think talking -still- about a 'rumour' doesn't help anyone -and him-. I sincerely wish him health&peace, and I hope -especially his country fellows- but everyone can give him privacy to breathe. Let's wish good luck together for everyone who is under a condition like him-like that.
