No respect for Viki once again. Their sub is at 60% completed while other sites did it fully.
The subbers for Viki are a group of volunteers. I am not sure if they are being paid. We need to be a little patient with them. Just watch it at Kissasian if you can't wait.
You should've watched Chief Kim, he's even funnier than in Beautiful Gong Shim.
I have seen reviews of it. I am not sure if it's my cup of tea because it has very little romance in it or none at all(I read in some reviews although I am not sure if it is true). I am currently watching Eulala Waikiki S2 (haven't watched S1) for my laughter medicine. Chief Kim will be next on my list when I need some laughs. Thank you for your recommendation. :)
Amazing show and I love the grown up actors too (RIP grown up Tae). The cast was phenomenal and the ending was…
@lovecolin Yes! #TeamTaek all the way. His character is realistic. Tsundere guys? Who'd actually fall for someone who calls you ugly and bullies you all the time? Realistically speaking, women fall for guys who are nice and sweet to them.
Tell me about it. I finished it this morning at 3am, already restarted the series while I wait... My sis is wasting…
I am sure that Do Hyun Soo is a layered individual. With only 4 episodes in, we barely scratched the surface of Hyun Soo's inner mind. I sure hope that the drama goes deeper beyond trauma because the drama is character-driven. If it only focuses on the trauma and not the underlying feelings and implications that go with it, it would fall short of being a "psychological" drama and just be a thriller.
We are in dramaland so anything can happen. Romanticization of psychological issues such as ASPD is almost expected. Let me know your thoughts when you finish IOTNBO. I probably would only watch it after FoE. I have a feeling that it would be difficult for me to move on from FoE just like it did me with Reply 1988 so I'd need a new drama that would be totally captivating like IOTNBO. :D
Happy viewing! I envy you because you'd be able to watch before I could. :)

Oh FoE is just short for Flower of Evil. :D
I am into psychology but for some reason, I am not fond of psych dramas like Psychopath diary or even Kill Me, Heal Me. My last attempt at watching a psych drama was It's Okay, That's Love and I didn't even finish it. I am a psychology graduate from many years back (didn't practice though) and I feel that the psychological issues presented in dramas are one-dimensional, limited, or inaccurate. It should not be so simple, but dramas depict otherwise, so it leaves an unsatisfactory taste in my mouth. Nothing against psych dramas though. I love forensic psychology, that's why I loved Criminal Minds (US version) and FoE is close because the story itself is driven by human behavior and shows how one's past motivated the behavior itself.
I don't think he has ASPD. The closest disorder would have been Schizoid Personality Disorder - Schizoid personality disorder is an uncommon condition in which people avoid social activities and consistently shy away from interaction with others. They also have a limited range of emotional expression. However, like many psychological disorders, there is a certain number of symptoms/signs that should be met before getting diagnosed with it and he does not check the entire list.
He definitely is a traumatized individual who needs counseling and healing.
On the contrary, I think on the first date he attributed seeing his father with meeting her in general, since he'd also seen his dad when she confessed. ---> I think this is the reason why I think he feels guilty of something. Him being with Ji Won triggers hallucinations of his father so to me, it either is a strong feeling of guilt because he has found a way to redeem himself (by welcoming happy, positive thoughts) and felt that he doesn't deserve it OR he feels guilty for bringing someone to his miserable life and would like to avoid that altogether.
We all would end up psychologists after analyzing HyunSoo. :D
On a side note: I probably would watch It's Okay to Not be Okay because it qualifies as a psych drama and seemed realistic enough based on the reviews. Also watching it for (ahem!) Kim Soo Hyun :D
Tbh I feel like the ending of this will be open. Don't get me wrong, I was thinking about webtoon adaptations…
It probably would be an open ended drama like CitT. We all hate that but at the rate the webtoon is releasing episodes (one per week), even if 52 episodes (one whole year) are released, that won't still be enough to establish a break-up between SeoJun and Jugyeong and re-ignite Suho and Jugyeong OTP. Unless, the author already decided Seojun and Jugyeong are endgame, then there's not much story to go around anymore since the webtoon currently has Seojun-Jugyeong pairing currently.
even i am rooting for him but the thing is that many webtoon adaptions who still aren't completed and still turn…
THIS! I am pretty sure it will be an open ending like Cheese in the Trap. That or the author decides to give away the ending for the webtoon by ending it in the drama first. Either way, I just hope #TeamSuho wins. :D
Giddy! I am contemplating between Hello Monster and Train. Guess I will do Train since I was told the FL in Hello Monster is no good. Thanks for the recom! :)
Tell me about it. I finished it this morning at 3am, already restarted the series while I wait... My sis is wasting…
I'd rather that the watch as a gift from his wife, is significant to him, cementing the fact that he is not devoid of emotion or love. He either does not know how love feels (because he has been hurt, betrayed or bullied all his life) or he doesn't think he deserves to be loved or happy (it seems to me that he felt guilty so he rejected Ji Won on their first date, after hallucinating about his father). I am sure that his thought process will be later revealed as we go along.
Well, if Hello Monster does not work for me, I guess I will start on "Train." It seems interesting enough to tide me over with my FoE withdrawals. :D

True. But that watch with his name implicated him nevertheless. At the very least, he could have just left it at home and not wear it until the coast is clear. He is being chased by his wife (although she still does not know it) after all and he is doing his own investigation so the likely chance that their paths will cross at some point. It is human nature to suspect about things that are seen and obvious, and it is fortunate that the wife is logical and would investigate before she jumps into conclusions. However, finding the watch will cast suspicions nevertheless. It is a little uncharacteristic of him that he wore the watch in the middle of his investigation, considering how cautious he was all those years so he'd be left undiscovered. But this is dramaland so anything can happen :D Curious to see how wife would react to the Watch.
Is Hello Monster no good? I am about to start on it. Don't care much about the FL coz I am after the storyline and (ahem!) Bogummy. :D

I am going to binge-watch on Hello Monster while waiting on the new ep to come out. Need to watch something of the same genre to keep my mind off that WATCH. Lesson learned: Never accept a personalized item with your name if you are going to commit a crime/guilty of a crime. :D
I am only on EP 2 and it's so twisted. He plays a good father but in all the wrong ways. I am conflicted and I am normally a straight-arrow person. However, this drama is making me ask whether the actions are justifiable or not. I hate that I love and hate it at the same time. Do you guys what I mean? :/
No. Watch it in order. 1997 , 1994 and then 1988. There are cameos here and there so it is better to watch it…
Not really. They are independent of each other. It's just more fun I guess to be able to recognize the cameos when they show up. But you can still watch them in random.

I am a rom-com fanatic and I needed a drama to get over Reply 1988. Good thing, this thriller drama came along! So good!
