Both the ML and SML are physcos. Thx to the inconsistency of the writers.
The ML from E1-10 is just Cruel and cold blood. He will do everything just for revenge. Including sacrifice so many of his subordinates.
He only got a small clue of so many dead. That somehow Yan sisters hold the key to his parents death.
Ironically, he can keep all of them by alive if he had put spy at Pei Yan house. (Who also lnow about the Yan sisters) ML become so DUMB there. He had the ability put spies in all places including the palace, princes places for sometimes but no spy in SML place?
Then the writer decide to write him better since Ep 11 cause otherwise the FL will hate him forever. Suddenly he become a nice guy who want to save and help anyone .
Meanwhile the SML who first seem quite inteligent, decisive and respectful. Suddenly in later episodes become wishy washy, pushy and controlling toward the FL. The writer probably make SML like this so FL and ML can be madly in love.
And probably FL will had to stuck between them thru the end till the three of them find out who is the worst villain that even the ML and SML and his mother pale in comparison.
One puzzling thing, FL master can fight, but FL had zero martial art or any skill to defend herself. (Maybe a good qin gong) But she just went everywhere and find trouble and need to be rescued every single time. It become repetitive and we are only at ep 18.
Very enjoyable cooking competition show. I had seen all kind type of cooking competition show. Amateur home cook show (Masterchef and others), Young and coming chefs (Top Chef and others), Top tier chefs duke it out(Top Chef Masters and earlier Great British Menu)
But this is the first show with all of it in one big scale show. 20 Top tier chefs (most of them) against 80 very good to questionable to weird chefs to rookies.
Exciting epiosdes and hope the last 8 episodes are as good as the first 4 or even better.
Not only that the ML is cruel but DUMB as well. ( the story potray him as a very clever leader that plot for years to find out who kill his parents) Ep 1-10, he lost so many of his trusted aides. And had only got a small clue about his parents murder.
Is it really worth it? All the plotting, killing and torture many people. (Some are not related to his parents murders including torturing and try to kill the FL several times) And had many of his people dead. I dont feel sad or bad for him.
A good leader should protect his people first and not sacrifice them left and right. No revenge is worth it if you lost all the people that matter to you.
For viewers whose English vocabularies are not that good but like to pretend you know it all, please buy a dictionary that translate the English word to your languange so you really know the meaning of the word. (example : the meaning of the term Bromance) Before you write wrong comment that only proving how ignorant you are .
Lately most of Japanese dorama action /thriller/ crimes dramas had been okay to lackluster. This one is one of them.
Episode one is okay. But episode two is really taking a dive. Very lazy writing from the writers.
In order to make action scene at end of this episode, the writer write a scene that even a rookie writer WILL NOT write it.
Basically Kiriko use herself as bait to lure the Killers. But somehow the police force STUPID or CONFIDENCE enough to only send Shimura alone to protect her from the killers in a big house. Other polices stand guard outside the house.
After they almost got killed and somehow managed to arrest ALL the killers, then the rest of the polices arrived.
Rest of the police must be blind and deaf, cause they did not see the killers get into the house that surrounded by the polices. The killers even did not made any attempt to enter the house stealthily. And the polices did not hear all the shootings that going on in the house. WHAT A JOKE.
If episode 3 and so on, the story keep going into only Shimura and Kiriko amazingly defeated the criminals where the other polices doing nothing or being amazingly stupid, I am done with this show.
The writer totally focus on two lead characters and totally throw the supporting characters under the bus. Its like even if they cut out the supporting characters, it will not had any effects on the story .

There are 3 stories . You can watched from any of the titles. It did not had any connections at all. The only same thing these 3 dramas had are : all are good and all had happy ending. And all only had 4 episodes per drama.
Its almost impossible to find any historical drama as good as Nirvana In Fire . None if you want to find any China / Mandarin historical drama cause usually the stories already become so repetitive and boring after episode 20.
Nirvana In Fire is the best historical drama that I had seen alongside Jewel in The Palace.
A meidocre drama to say the least. The strories were all over the place. The transition between the present and the past were poorly edited. Instead of focusing on Golf and Bank, they focused too much on their friends story and even their teacher. WTF???
Golf who did not like Bank suddenly so quickly turn it into love. That was just too drastic. The plot of the main story was about the relationship between the step siblings and thier family. But somehow along the way it became a typical high school drama focused mostly on the school. Ughhh.
I do hope if there were season 2, they tighten their story and make it better.
The only thing that made it okay are both main actors were cute and the acting was quite okay. Though Bank did not need to wear glasses to make it different from present and past.
Easily the best BL drama of 2017 with My Hero. There are a few new BL dramas this year ( or attempt to be a BL dramas but failed like My roommates is a fox and Till Death Tear Us Apart). None of them can come close to this one.
The story was quick paced with clear story and plot. It had 4 episode only . And unlike so many Mandarin BL dramas and movies, this one had happy ending.
The acting are natural and good. Both lead actors are very easy in the eyes. What more could you ask for?
Lan Xi who are not supposed to die get 7 days to love again if she can make her boy friend Yin Xiong fall in love with her and kiss her. But her soul was trapped in a man body Gu Si Ren.
9 out 10. This drama is funny and light with a twist to watch. Only had 4 episodes . Its like a tv drama . movie. The acting was good. And the actors are easy to watch.

Nirvana In Fire is the best historical drama that I had seen alongside Jewel in The Palace.
I love the first season very much and if they cannot maintain the quality of the drama probably better not to make season 2.
