i decided to rate it a 10 even before i finished it, mostly because of how much fun i had watching it and how some storylines were very special to me. i particularly felt like i was reading a series of romance novels, like bridgerton, where the family is the center of the narrative but we focus on each couple at a time, and when the story of the couple you like is over you're still able to get glimpses of their happy life! it's light hearted, with some family drama and funny moments.
Shouhua and Du Yanxi are my absolute favorites, i was obssesed with their unique story, the yearning was so good!
close to them, i really liked Leshan and Yang Xian.
the fourth sister's story was good, but the third sister was my least favorite.
overall, i feel like if you watch it in order to get to know the family and not just one couple you'll have much more fun!
oh, and the costumes and headpieces were sooo beautiful, it's very aesthetically pleasing <333
