Why did Yifan say she will treat Yan better if she was going to ghost him next day 🤡🤡
thats the point. she has this trauma and all the sadness, unstable that cant be talk and not feel safe by bastard uncle and family anymore thats why she move away and ghosting everything, i understand her so much.
You should reassess your definition of second chance romance and try not to casually throw tropes around as it…
Thank you for your opinion. But This "kisskh" APP fiture literally put the tags "Second Chance" on it so i agree about that.
Okay... so.. The definition of the second chance trope that you explained is very correct. But in my opinion, the second chance trope can also be considered in this drama. WHY? Let's interprete it in a "symbolic way" not logically. This drama is fantasy, a time-slip that clearly doesn't make sense. But, symbolically, this drama seems to try to explain that the second chance trope is not from a huge misunderstanding, breaking up, forgiving again, getting back together and their growth arc like in another romantic movies and dramas without the fantasy genre in general as you explained. So, I reminding yall this drama not realistic, just have fun and interpreting it on symbolic way. thats it.
The second chance trope here can be interpreted symbolically, in the Original Timeline it is explained the characters in this drama just give up on their lives so their regretness was wasted.
regretness, longing, yearning, depress, something that is wasted can be changed by trying and fighting so that it is not wasted anymore. the second chance trope can be used as a special reason for this drama.
The Original Timeline in this 'fantasy' drama seems to symbolize that there are many anomalies in life and moments that are missed, those anomalies should have happened in the original timeline. then, they are given a second chance to fix the anomaly through a time-slip clock which results in Timeline 1, Timeline 2, Timeline 3 and a reset timeline.
This drama basically explains that human destiny can be changed if we continue to fight, survive, especially for loved ones including (lovers, parents, siblings and people around). This drama also explains that human destiny to love each other cannot be changed, this is like "in another life narration" in every timeline they love each other no matter how Im Sol changes it, unsatisfactory results, and regrets can be fixed with a second chance. THIS IS FOR AN IDEALISTIC POINT OF VIEW.
However, there are also time slip dramas like "Twinkling Watermelon" which explain that there are some destinies that cannot be changed but fate and luck like (rich, poor) can be changed by trying and working hard. THIS IS FOR A REALISTIC POINT OF VIEW. although I prefer 'Twinkling Watermelon'.
THAT WAS ALL "DEPENDS" ON OUR PERSPECTIVE OF DESTINY OR FATE.
This is a time-slip drama, a romantic-comedy fantasy that emphasizes character development towards romantic relationships and fighting their ill-fate. So there is nothing that is truly realistic in this drama to interpret. And this drama emphasizes more on dialogue, accurate romantic narrative, romantic atmosphere, romantic intensity between characters. SO YEA THIS IS SO ROMANCE CLICHE DRAMA. I mean WE HAVE FUN RIGHT...THIS IS SO ROMCOM FANTASY KDRAMA. which is I truly love it because this drama is refreshing, simple and just for fun especially for romance enthusiat, so it is given a tense, curious and cringe romantic situation in every entire episodes.
NOTE: the execution in the last half episode actually has a lot to explore and kinda lack, I agree with this.
Try to follow what ppl said yesterday that it was good & yes I agree the first 2 episodes didn't disappoint at all!
I really like the character that Kim Sejeong plays here, a feisty girl who is very motivated and always has positive energy. I haven't watched the original version/japan original yet, but if you are a manga/webtoon/comic lover and have an interest in becoming a writer in the publishing industry(?), I think it will be very easy to enjoy this. the conflict is not so forced to complex but very fun and fresh to follow. it's like ASADORE or morning routine morning drama in japan. everything is so natural and not too made up. this is one of the cool coming of age! I hope the story development in the next episodes will be better. NOTES : if you expect a lot of romantic scenes that's fine, but I think this drama will be more beautiful, fresh and thick with life when the romantic scenes are not highlighted too much.
