The past story heavily saves this for me. A whole drama about it would have been 10 times better since the actors…
Exactly! that is what I thought. they could have just stick to the Silla storyline instead of the present days. The present days storyline is just too messy!
Finally! I finished the drama. Overall, it was a good drama BUT, no drama can surpass A JOURNEY TO LOVE. Yup! I am biased hahaha.
My take on this drama:-
- I dont want Lanxi’s dad as my dad ever in this entire life. He is the enabler of the chaos that happened by the stepmother. He is indecisive and greedy with power. Nope.
-Like… Langhua tried to kill Xiyun because she was mad and sad and accused Xiyun killing her father without any proof? Seriously Langhua is someone I dont want to be friends with because she have zero trust in you. So sad :(
-Why Huang Chao have to marry the Hua Chunran. I prefer Huang Chao with Qiwu because Qiwu is politically smart, beautiful and pretty awesome with martial arts. Too bad we weren’t able to see Qiwu’s happy ending.
-Really was hoping to see what happened to them Lanxi and Xiyun. Kids? Who will rule both their states?
Overall, I’ll give it 10/10 because there were no unnessasary drama about trust between the leads. They both trust each other and that is the highest level of love. Mature and simple.
It's a creepy combo with her dead fish eyes and the veins on her face.
ahhhh I wanted to press Edit instead of Delete. Anyways, I hope episode 3 will be good. I can’t wait to see the 2FL scenes again. She is great actress.
Started out as creepy, and ended up as not so creepy, and through no fault of the story really, but I blame the…
Wow, you just wrote what I wanted to write 🤣I just cant with the ML and FL. I couldn’t feel the romance between those two - the characters of course. I felt nothing. Everytime I saw their “romance” scenes, I couldn’t help but trying to cover my two eyes because it was quite cringey . One more thing about Fang Jiaming character is that he is a bit manipulative towards Haishi. That is because he was giving crumbs to Haishi that makes Haishi keeps on coming back. And when she did, he pushed her away, and the cycle repeats. Haishi was actually infatuated with the crumbs that was given to her.
2ML and 2FL - oh god. what a toxic relationship. I actually wished that Tilan could’ve been more brave to push him away or give him some silent treatment for his bad behaviour towards her. But she didn’t. She just accepted it. I mean if course she couldn’t dare to but she should have been a little more braver. Anyways, their love story was so sad. Sad ending for them both. I couldn’t help but cried a bit.
3ML and 3FL - this pair’s love story was actually very innocent. I shipped them both eventhough some stalking going around at the start 🤣Zhouying could’ve just introduced himself to Zheliu when she was able to see but it was very unfortunate. Lesson learnt - tell them that you love them so that you don’t get to regret later. The present is very important, don’t wait for the future.
Overall, I love Novoland:Pearl Eclipse. It was a well made drama, the storyline is actually very interesting. I actually gave it 10/10. The character that I like the most is the emperor. The actor did the job really well. I could feel his agony, his anger, his sadness and his frustration as well as his love. Amazing!
Yeah. Comment section is funny, but scary when you are about to start. 😅 I found only negative comments except…
Ahhh… gotcha. I got what you mean. Although it is not a snooze fest drama, there are plenty more to see to make it worthwhile to watch. I realised these days a lot of K-drama have unnecessary repetitive dialogues like for example, Moon in the Day. The drama have got so much potential especially when it is in the Silla period but towards the end, oh god… how disappointing. The worst was the Kokdu drama - I forgot the whole drama name. The repetition of lines is too much. I dropped halfway. The only K-drama that I think has ever been made perfectly and wholesome and wonderful with great scripts and characters with awesome storytelling is Reply 1988.
I’ll try the first episode for The Impossible Heir. Just because of the 2FL, though. For her sake.
Omg reading all these comments makes me scared to watch it because I dont want to waste my time watching something that I will drop halfway. All I want to do is to see the 2FL because I like her acting from her previous dramas. Why is she not the FL?
Well, we all knew that ML over and over and over again told everyone that he didn’t want to be the emperor. He just want FL in his life and build life with her. He knew that he is not competent and he is not strong enough for that position. Okay, we got that part. We knew very well. It is disappointing but that is the character of ML. Too bad, but congratulations to the actor who carried the character well.
As for the SML, if Chang Yuqing ever come to my house with a thousand soldiers behind him and proposed to me to marry him, I’ll say “YES! YES! YES!” in a heartbeat 🤣 Oh lord he is so manly.
Exactly! It’s actually heartbreaking the story of Xian Zhu and Wan Yue. 2 people that were not meant to be together.…
Yes, the hierarchy system is just a complex subject in this drama. Poor Ayin who there referred to a “merely” a Water Dvine Beast again and again. My self esteem would dropped to if I was in Ayin’s shoes.
JUST FINISHED EP40. THIS DRAMA IS NOT BAD BUT ALSO NOT GOOD.After seeing Gu Jin get struck by lightning in Ep…
What I can say about this drama is an outlet for me after an exhausting day at work. I don’t really care if if its a remade or not. The Last Immortal is just honestly a well made production with fantastic casts. This is one of the C-drama that have a great second lead actors - Hong Yi and Yan Shuang are my happy pill :)
I watched the drama because of the Silla period. I would love it even more if the plot and storyline continues during that period. But it didn’t and it went downhill when it is mixed up with present years. The Silla period was just perfect. The love story between the main leads was so sad and devastating to the point where I felt the agony between the two characters. But then when it is mixed up with the present days, I just can’t help but wonder why the story needs to be like this. They could have just stick to that period (I am sorry, I just love period pieces than modern day storyline :p) The ending. OMG. The ending was just… so messy. I just cant. But kudos to the main leads who carried the characters well. I like them both. I give this drama 7.5 because of the Silla period.
Convinced myself that the drama will get better but unfortunately I dropped it. I cannot lie to myself anymore that I forcing myself to watch it. It is just too hard to complete even an episode of it after episode 8 or 9.
So far I am at episode 1. From the very popular dramas and the last drama I watched was The Last Immortal, I knew that I should not have high expectation. But maybe I’ll love the drama, who knows?
I have to say that I love the man to man talk between Yuan Qi and Hong Yi in ep 34, it felt so heartwarming to…
Yes, it was heartwarming seeing these two completely open up to each other even though for a wee bit. Their love-hate relationship is just too cute. Deep down inside, they do care deeply about each other.
Please tell me if Rong Rong end up with anyone?
No because they end up together and everything falls into the right places.
