I forced myself to watch through this show and was happy when it was over. Bu Xia and especially his (imo irresponsible and incompetent) sister annoyed me to the point that it was basically a hate watch for me. The only thing that made the show worth watching was Jiang Chi and his basically never ending patience to tolerate a brat.
Boston being a voice of reason in S2 was not on my bingo card. But hey ok, I guess. This whole drama about a hug. Were Tua and Dean really friends to begin with, cos Tua's reaction and the way he talked to Dean, kinda reveals how he's always thought of Dean. Friends don't slutshame each other 😅
I'm glad I got past the, for a lack of a better word coming to mind, clownery that was the couple first episodes. It was a bit distracting and too much for my liking. But the series has gotten better as things are starting to get more serious. And there are still light bits scattered around, which is nice. I really liked e4. Omg the yearning in Phop's eyes! And I feel really bad for Kaew. Ep5 preview looks like things are gonna go sideways into Sadville. Which I'm both excited and scared for 😅
I really hope we'll get more NgernOat in the future. I enjoyed the way they played Arthit and Dao and their chemistry. I do kinda wish they would've had more eps to get more things from the novel into the story. But this was good too. Think I'll do myself a favor by not reading the novel for Lately It's Winter Season before the show, so I won't be comparing and can fully enjoy the show. The cat was hella cute! MVP right there :D Wah, I'm going to miss the whole gang.
This was a super cutesy first love, friends to lovers -type of show, with supportive, feet-on-ground friends and sister. Sure in BL-world it's a tale as old as time. But the acting was good, the couple were cute, the story moved nicely. And it has a happy ending. I really liked it and binged it in one afternoon. I'm stuck home with a flu so it was the perfect comfort show.
I'm kinda hoping there'll be a third season. Because the ending didn't really finish their story, more like everything's on hold. Kinda cute season tho, I like their dynamic and how well they communicate with each other.
I loved Pheem and was rooting for him even tho I knew this was an OffGun show. Dew did an amazing job at portraying Pheem's pain and insecurity, and the desparation of hoping and wanting the person you love to choose you even though you know the odds are not good. (I'm also a sucker for that hight difference between Dew and Gun.) The overall vibe and aesthetic of the show was fantastic. All the music was really well chosen. I really was hoping for Koh to get just why what he did was wrong and apology would've been nice.
I've gathered courage to watch this one for over a year and today was finally the day. Just wow. It's really good. In no way is it a good vibe movie. More a "if you're feeling down and really want to dwell in the feels, put this one on" type of movie. But damn is it well made, with excellent performances.
I just want to know who made the choices to use acoustic guitar versions of christmas songs as the background music? On screen you have a tender heart to heart moment between the mains and Joy to the World is playing. 😂 Thought the show was ok. Acting was very good and I liked most of the characters. Love seeing supportive mothers in BL's. But the pacing could've been a wee bit faster. I had to fight the urge to reach for my phone many times.
This was such a cute series. The ending came a bit too soon tho. The last episode could've been longer or maybe needed one more episode. I binged all 8 episodes back to back. The difference between the very confident and seductive AE and clumsy and a little awkward Enaga was awesome. Well played. Totally get Chiaki getting all flustered. The soundtrack deserved a kudos too.
I've tried watching Y-Destiny and didn't finish it cos it was all over the place and well, not good. I hoped this one would be better, since it focuses on only one story/couple. I was excited about Cooheart being something other than just a cutesy school boy. Max and Nat are really cute together so I really wanted to like this series because of them. The concept was interesting. Sadly it didn't work. The way the episodes kept going in circles and repeating the same things, this could've been a shorter show. NC is fun and all, but it doesn't carry a story. Even tho it was refreshing to have the switch in MaxNat's usual roles. Let's normalize the "femme boy" being the top. Pretty much ended watching this with 1,5x speed just to get through it, cos I didn't want to leave it unfinished.
Last episode felt a bit anticlimactic, not gonna lie. I kinda wish they'd had at least one more episode, so that the ending wouldn't feel so rushed. That way no need for such a dramatic time jump and they could've given Gao Tu and Wen Lang and their reunion more screen time. But it doesn't dull the whole show for me. It's still been a fun ride. I absolutely loved Hua Yong. He's the perfect obsessed and menacing babygurl black flag characted. And honestly, cast was good. The show had a good soundtrack too. Here's hoping there'll be a special episode or something.
Why am I watching spooky things at 2:30 am?! And why does Keng have such a perfect face? But damn that was a good episode. Didn't mind the ~ 2 hours at all. I just loved the tenderness between Khem and Peem in the "let me make you happy" scene. And while I did kinda hope the Charn&Jet from 0 to 100 vibe would continue, it's cute that they're slowing the pace a bit.
You totally roasted that guy… but duh, there are like only 4 BL actors I’d ever hand an Oscar to, tops.
Lol, no roasting was ment! I absolutely adore him and I don't think he's a bad actor. The dancing scene at the fair was what made me think how fun it is that he gets to also be silly as his character. Tho now that I'm rereading my comment, maybe it does come out a bit harsh 🙈
