She knows that a proper company just won't fire an employee because a team leader doesn't like her for a reason he for sure will not tell HR about because it's personal and will be against the law, as it would be wrongful dismissal/termination, especially with how she has a good performance at work. Being a newly appointed team leader at a company where your boss is literally a family member doesn't mean he can just do whatever he wants without the board of directors stepping in. They have a say on how a company runs since Jihyeok's dad is a chairman who works together with the board of directors (not a CEO which is a lower position btw) to ensure the company is running smoothly and its shareholders are satisfied. The board can still vote to have him removed if he does anything that greatly harms the company, even if he's the chairman's son. She doesn't know that he deeply likes her like that after just spending a few days together and thinks that he's so mad at her because he found out she was apparently married with a kid! That's why she can just tell him so easily to forget what happened in Jeju. She will of course think that once Jihyeok finds out she is actually not a mom, he will use that reason to get her fired! It's only the first few eps, so the writers are not going to resolve such a giant conflict early on.

tbh yeah it's weird that japan couldn't lift up the gate and finish the challenge bc wasn't the empty cart the same weight as the gate which was 800 kg? i was thinking maybe the gate was malfunctioning after the 1st 2 teams already used it? who knows if the pds even checked all of it before starting right? they also had that issue with the totem poles of japan

so far i like these dramas in order: therapy game, punks triangle, me and thee (1st ep was entertaining so far), school trip, and peach trap! also started at 25:00 in akasaka and please, yes but it's on hold for now bc it became slow paced/boring for me

watching this now and i really like how supportive palm's mom was to palm's feelings for nuengdiao and how self-aware she was in ep. 8 where she was saying she didn't know how tiring being a mother was really hits as someone in their mid 20's who still feels you haven't done everything you want or achieve anything on your own and as selfish as it was for his mom to just leave them, i understand where she is coming from tbh as she said palm's father was controlling to her and she would have been miserable in that marriage if she stayed with him 🙁 being married and raising a kid is a lifelong responsibility especially in asian households which one should absolutely be ready for!

just finished ep 7 and so far i like their chemistry! yes fish upon the sky is in my watchlist too
