How is this related to original Addicted novel besides the author Chai Ji Dan being the scriptwriter? Is this a toned down/censored version of the novel or is it a different story?

Hoping for Addicted level chemistry for the actors.

I can't wait for the release of the last volume of this manga. The story is soooo much superior in the manga. I wish they would adapt it into an anime.
