It's sad that they did the confession differently from the manga resulting in that cheesy scene. The confession in the manga fits Taichi personality which was chaotic.

Hmm I guess people really have different tastes. I’ve watched the movie and I didn’t finish it because of how cringe the acting is. I’m a fan of the manga and I feel like they ruined its reputation because of that movie. This one on the other hand was faithful to the material and the actors especially Taichi’s got the character of the manga spot-on. I guess it really depends on everyone’s taste. But I have really high standards when it’s an adaptation of my favorite manga or novel, but this one is 9/10 for me.

Just wait for the episode next week, the wait will be so worth it.

Some people here just can't wait. If you don't understand the concept of slow burn, then just watch some cheap BL where the actors fck in the first episode, this gem is not for you. This drama only adapted the first two volumes, and there are 6 more volumes and the series is still ongoing. And it's a good sign that they didn't rush it and did the same pace with the manga, cause that means we would hopefully get more seasons in the future.

If they would be faithful to the manga, the scene that you're waiting for would be absolutely hilarious. I hope they say the exact words of Taichi in the manga lol also you won't hate Maya next episode. After seeing the preview I guess they would adapt it next week.

I guess the actress did a good job if you hated her. I also hated her when I was reading the manga but she'll grow on you in the next episodes hehe

If I remember correctly, their parents broke up in the end because the mother of Jiang Tian went crazy because of their son's relationship. Correct me if I'm wrong I have read the novel years ago.

There has been a few BL that already finished production and already has an airing date but was blocked from airing after a review from the CCP censorship department. I wouldn't hold my breath with this one.

I almost never watch any JP live adaptation and tend to stick to manga because, I'll be straight with it, most of the time the acting is very cringe. But since this one is one of my favorite BL manga, I gave it a chance and I was a bit surprised especially with Taichi's actor, he really got his lively character. I wish this would be like the adaptation of Cherry Magic which is really good, I wish it a successful run!

I also thought that was the case. Nevertheless, this series will still remain one of the best in our time that paved the current BL industry to be the way it is now imo, nobody can change that.
