If you like to watch dramas, you know, for the fun of it and not analyze every little thing that is wrong, then I promise you that you'll enjoy this thriller! It's a slow start but I was amazed and anxious and at the edge of my seat from the halfway point. Some points are predictable, sure, but that's not necessarily a bad thing! I liked when I caught on to the twins' plans, I was devastated when they failed, and I for one loved the ending. This website is a whirlwind of negativity, but hey, people still check these pages and if you like something that no one else does, so be it!

I'm so confused, will there be any couples? Didn't watch S1 but going to bc i love KSY. But from what im seeing…
Lack of information, most likely, and because S1 was heavily romantic so it was copy-pasted here. I've seen like in one article with S2 referred to as action-heavy, but that hasn't made the tags, so there's no knowing this early on! Most likely, romance (if any) will be a side plot, support character kind of thing (there was one in S1 too)!

idk how to feel abt this drama cuz its feeling like it’s condoning people for being suicidal and thinking of…
If another perspective helps, I think of it as shedding light on how suicide is often perceived and, hopefully, how those perceptions can be changed! It's no doubt tough to watch, but that's how I view it, and I appreciate how it doesn't shy away from that reality

Title Tomorrow Spoiler
The drama is cool and entertaining with a fun cast and nice visuals, but I'm not really liking how they're dealing…
I think that Goo Ryun's supposed to make us uncomfortable and honestly, I respect it as a means of character development, because Joon Woong is obviously going to join the team and bring the "human" emotion back into saving humans. Not all people in a very dark place will be told "it will get better" one day and believe it. It is harsh, yes, but I think that there are people who needs to hear those harsh words to make them pause and rethink why exactly it is being said to them. In this case, it did help someone! But I think the lesson learned is that there are many ways to approach a sensitive topic.

Is this show supposed to have romance and if so will there be a love triangle/square?
No love triangles or squares! Young Min and Se Jin are exes with unresolved issues (lingering feelings?), Seung Tak and Soo Jung went to school together and have a "may or may not be" beyond co-workers kind of dynamic. It's not like, the main plot, but from the first episode it's established there's going to be focus on these dynamics

Indeed! I do like it when female characters are strong / can fight and protect themselves and others like the…
I think this is an interesting discussion! It's safe to say that FLs specifically are overly criticized in comparison to MLs. Is a FL super innocent and lets the ML do all the work? Annoying, good for nothing. Is a FL aggressive and stepping all over the ML? Aggressive, also good for nothing.

I agree that this FL lead IS aggressive and violence isn't the answer, however, I'm glad to see a FL character who is selfish, violent, self centered because it's fiction. We like the bad guys, we are attracted to the killers! A lot of people like the ML although he's a piece of shit, admittedly, not a physically abusive one because he's a coward, but corruption through greed is never a good look on anyone. I completely respect people who don't like her, but I do! I think that from the end of the fourth episode, things will get a lot more complicated but she'll play a larger role, and of course more people won't be too happy about that.

Alright! Hopefully I can answer all of this as simply as possible!- Gumihos live forever, but they're not invulnerable…
Honestly, I'm right there with you! Hopefully there's more specific information to come and you're not a bother at all! There's a lot of negativity for the series, so I'm happy to answer questions where others won't.

It was briefly shown! That's the thing with the first season, the brother's history was sprinkled in so we got a lot of answers, but also not enough. Kim Bum's character is a little over 600 yrs old and around 600 yrs ago, he killed a whole village of humans who burned down their forest and Lee Dong Wook's character was sent to ordered to kill him for that. It was intentional for him to survive, but Kim Bum's character thought that he meant to kill him. Big misunderstanding! I don't think it'll repeat the same story, but there is that 600 yr gap where we don't know what happened really with either of them. The younger brother is the fan favorite, so I imagine he'll get more of a spotlight. The brothers do really care for each other despite bad blood, so it's possible.

Alright! Hopefully I can answer all of this as simply as possible!- Gumihos live forever, but they're not invulnerable…
No problem! It's a fairly modern plot but it is fantasy heavy so, understandable! Some people think it might focus a teeny more on politics because of the historical tag?

I think that the relationship will be strained at best! I think it's entirely possible they'll team up again out of necessity and I am absolutely hoping for it to happen! However, at the start of the first season, they're not really on good terms and it took them a whole season to improve their relationship. So, going back in time, we unfortunately don't get all of that character development.

Alright! Hopefully I can answer all of this as simply as possible!- Gumihos live forever, but they're not invulnerable…
I think it's fun but, yeah, it gets complicated and I understand it hasn't been for most people! All we really know is that the season is going to be kind of a prequel? So, anything goes, and all you're missing from the first season is a specific context about the brothers over the years, but that's easy enough to like... look it up or ask others. Glad that I could help!

I will not watch the first season but I am curious about something. - If a gumiho is a creature who lives forever…
Alright! Hopefully I can answer all of this as simply as possible!
- Gumihos live forever, but they're not invulnerable I think, they have weaknesses, like evening primrose . Kim Bum's character was half-gumiho so he had a more limited lifespan and he died because he traded the rest of his life for Lee Dong Wook's character's "reincarnation."
- Gumihos become or have the potential to become a celestial fox at 1,000 years old, Lee Dong Wook's character became a celestial fox and guardian mountain spirit but when his first love died, he abused his power and as punishment, became a hunter(?) for the Afterlife Immigration Office to punish any supernatural creatures that threatened the mortal world. Kim Bum's character was around 600 years old and lived to seek revenge on (aka kill) his brother, because his brother almost killed him when he was younger.
- Enemies were mostly other creatures! Kim Bum's character was a primary antagonist for the beginning of the series and there were other gumiho who were considered to be bad, but the real villain was an imoogi. There were also a handful of human enemies, like a shaman and a human that consumed the essence(?) of other humans to live longer than he should have.

Title Squid Game Spoiler
And the ending is kinda confusing after many years why he didnt sue the one who created and staffs behind the…
I was heartbroken by Sae Byeok's death as well, hell, I was sad about Mi Nyeo's, but I think that was a specific choice. I don't think there was misogyny JUST because the director happens to be male, I think it was a conscious choice to not only commentate on classism and poverty, but topics of sexism and ableism as well.

The thing is, at least how I interpreted the ending, there is NO way that Gi Hun would be able to sue the creators of the Squid Game. It's not supposed to be fair. He knows the identity of the creator, but the creator is dead. He doesn't know the identity of the rest of the staff, he doesn't even know where the game took place. If he tried to ask for help? No one would believe him. If he showed them the money that he received from the game, it's more than likely that people would think he stole it.

I haven't watched Hunger Games, so I really can't compare, but I think there are many differences between Squid Game and that, that even though they are technically in the same "death game" genre, I don't think that's easily comparable. However, that is your opinion, so I respect that!

Love, love Sang Woo as an antagonist, a character you hate in the moment but can't stop thinking about him after! I think that he wouldn't have been a polarizing character if he didn't specifically kill the fan favorites, like if we're being honest, no one really says anything about him pushing that one guy. I also think it's interesting that no one talks about his blatant misogyny (or misogyny within the show in general), which is the moment that I really despised him. Betrayal? Par for the course in a death game, but turning down women for a game simply because "men are better" is a yikes from me.

Becomes trend nowadays to use a powerful cast in bad scripts. For God sake!
What makes this a bad script? We literally have a one-sentence synopsis and I know a lot of people tend to be weary with an all-star type of cast, but I think you should at least give it a shot when it actually airs BEFORE calling it a bad script

Handsome is actually used to refer to women who might not be seen as conventionally feminine! Both words means she's good looking, which is true!

I don´t understand that hair style
It reminds me of the 1920s-- short, curly, framing the face. I think it suits her character very well as a sort of vintage style!

She's a poor art gallery director who was thrust from research into the world of directing because her father died and literally no one is giving her the time to mourn, between debts and everyone talking about her behind her back. She's still a little naïve, I agree, but I think it is completely understandable that it is taking more than .2 seconds for her to figure herself out and an entire business

Hopefully it wont be the same romance as the first season, bc that will be boring and sameyI hope these new seasons…
Seasons 2 and 3 are both prequels in the sense that they are set in the past, so it won't have the same romance and honestly, I highly doubt that Lee Yeon would try to get involved with anyone else anyway so like... if there's a new female lead, probably going to be strictly platonic unless they want to give Lee Rang a romantic arc which I'm also highly doubtful

Right, I assumed as much as well! I was just explaining that the era in particular makes perfect sense within its context, it's definitely not going to focus on that moment but I think we'll have more flashbacks to little Lee Rang. And then continue to see both he and Lee Yeon as they continued to live through the rest of the era, so there's a lot of opportunity there!

Thank you!About Signal, Taxi Driver, The Guest, Vagabond and so on…Why this average romcom/horrible stiff romance…
I think there's nothing wrong with the average romcom BUT Taxi Driver 2 already has a page, it's not confirmed but it's in talks, and Signal 2 has been in talks for a while but coronavirus keeps delaying it. So like, they're listening, but it's a process and TOTNT happened to have the audience and the cast availability for it already

It isn't for everyone, which is understandable! TOTNT never really advertised itself as a comedy, but it's set in Joseon era because that's when Lee Yeon met both Lee Rang and Ah Eum, so it holds a little bit significance for plot
