Loving The Early Spring so far
Hey, just wanted to share. I didn’t expect to enjoy The Early Spring this much, but I’m already hooked and I’m only at Episode 17.Bo Ran as Luke is honestly what keeps me glued. He has that naturally charming, slightly bad boy vibe, but it’s his acting that really stands out. It’s subtle, never overdone, yet every little pause or expression makes Luke feel so real. He completely steals the show for me.
The female lead plays more of a supporting role. Her performance is steady and consistent, but it is Bo Ran’s portrayal of Luke that truly commands attention. The narrative itself also leans more strongly toward the male lead’s perspective, which further emphasizes his central presence in the story.
What I love most, though, is how real and current the drama feels. The way it shows relationships, how people can hurt each other simply by speaking their mind, but can also learn to empathise, apologise and make things right, feels so relatable.
Even the music is spot on. It adds to the mood without ever taking over.
Honestly, I didn’t expect to be this invested, but here I am. ❤️

Absolute masterpiece!
Best martial arts display I have ever seen in a C-drama.I kept going from episode to episode because the adventure was so engaging and the puzzle pieces fit together perfectly. The CGI was amazing, but Yang Yang’s acting completely stole the show.He didn't just play a hero; he embodied his character completely. Instead of being a stiff, boring robot, he brought genuine warmth to the role with subtle smiles that made him feel like a real, reliable friend. His physical control in the fight scenes was unmatched—every move was crisp and powerful.
You can truly feel the weight of his performance. He masterfully acted out the heartbreak of a self-sacrificial man.
I cant wait for season 2!

Brilliant and Deeply Memorable
A beautifully crafted experience that knows exactly what it wants to be. The First Jasmine stands out through its atmosphere, emotional depth, and the care put into every detail. It’s the kind of work that draws you in naturally and leaves a lasting impression long after it ends.Without giving anything away, this is a genuinely rewarding experience, thoughtful, captivating, and filled with moments that make it special. A must-watch for those who appreciate something crafted with heart and purpose.

Great Cast, Weak Story
The lead actors were never the problem. Both gave good performances, and their chemistry was convincing. I know some people were bothered by the age gap between the leads, but that honestly didn't affect my enjoyment at all. They made the relationship believable. The real issue was the writing and production. The story started off with potential but gradually lost its direction. I've been forcing myself to continue since around Episode 18, and by Episode 25 it became a struggle to stay interested. The pacing dragged, the plot became repetitive, and there just wasn't enough happening to keep me invested. Even with only a few episodes left, I don't think it's worth finishing—even if you're fast-forwarding.
It's disappointing because the cast did their part. They deserved a much better script and tighter storytelling.

All Hype, No Delivery
Dropped at 42 minutes and 30 seconds. I couldn't even finish Episode 1.• The acting is painfully fake. I find the acting low-level, unnatural and unconvincing. Even the dual-role performance does not work for me. I know some viewers praise the actress for playing two characters, but I simply do not see it.
• The constant hype about her looks is baffling. Everyone keeps saying how pretty she is, but all I see is a heavily painted face, fake-looking goldfish eyes that look surgically altered, and a flat, plate-like face. I need to see an actual performance instead of being repeatedly told how pretty she is.
• Her voice sounds digitally edited. It sounds artificial to me. Yuk!
• The storyline makes everyone look stupid. All the women and people around the female lead seem stupid, while the men are the ones who can see through her. It is frustrating to watch.
• The story is not winning me over either. Other online reviews have also questioned the predictability of the storyline and its reliance on familiar tropes. For me, the acting makes it even harder to sit through.
• So much money spent, but for what? Perhaps the gore and sexual content help sell the drama, especially with its NC16 rating. But that does not make the acting any better.
• It reminds me of The Pursuit of Jade. To me, it is another case of influencer popularity and hype without a story that convinces me.
Final verdict: All hype, no delivery. I have better things to do with my time.

Dropped After Episode 1: A Cliche Nightmare
The Lazy Intro starts with an exhausting narration explaining years of backstory before introducing the actual characters. Instead of letting the plot unfold naturally, the writers just read a history lesson. I felt absolutely zero emotional connection to the world. The Clumsy Girl Meets Grumpy Guy
The leads are painfully unoriginal stereotypes. The heroine is written as an impossibly loud, clumsy character who trips over thin air, while the hero is just a brooding, expressionless wall. They already had a forced, accidental physical encounter within thirty minutes. It is pure cringe.
Plastic Filters and Bad Audio
Visually, the aggressive skin-smoothing filters completely erase the actors' facial expressions. Combined with the distracting green-screen backgrounds and voice dubbing that does not even line up with their moving lips, the whole production feels entirely fake. I am dropping this immediately.
