I couldnt get pass ep one of that drama. The male lead is a snob, compared to wen rang who cared to cheng even as a stranger or just a neighbor. He did apologize for being a jerk when he drove her away. He wanted to stay single cus he dont want to be involved in any woman. Many tried, all gave up. He felt the loss when cheng cheng literally moved on when he told her to f off. Also the actor said that chengcheng was wen rangs destination. Remember the monologue of cheng while looking at the stage remembering wen rang singing, ep 23,thats a poem "if i continue to shine light the lonely boat will come to me, but some boats already have their destination" Cheng is light tower and wen rang is the boat.
So he said that wen rang saw the light, and went to his destination thus the proposal in the light tower.
I mean they have back stories it was just not properly showed.

To make it up he invited his friends to Burang.Ep10 He didnt know how to deal with his feelings,but when you really look at it he was very nice and accomodating to chengcheng even before chengcheng liked him. EP4 when he sort of got revenge to chengchengs ex bf for humiliating chengcheng and going back to her in the hotel. Even when chengcheng crosses the line he still was kind to her but when he catches feelings its either he lashes out,avoids and pushes her away.
You have to understand that the guy is a loner and built a wall around himself and kept others out. One said that he didnt know how to handle his feelings for her so he took it out on her. But He kept caring for chengcheng unknowingly. Even when he refused her he still went to her aid when he thought she was in an accident.

In GGS it was on the later episodes that Ai Qing became manager of the group. Im still confused with some loopholes though
