It was a lite drama, not the best but enjoyable, with no much conflicts. However, for a low-budget drama, the…
RIGHT?! Man, my heart did a little jump of joy when he untied the hat. That was amazing. As for the chinese characters thing-- I don't exactly know when this drama takes place. However, I believe there must have been a transition period from using chinese characters to using hangul. In that case, maybe scholars still learned chinese characters for reading important literary works or writing books, meanwhile for personal correspondence they used hangul. Just a thought xDD
Okay I watched this thing in one sitting, and I really liked it. Obviously it's not perfect, but for what it is, it's great. Quite enjoyable to watch, with sweet characters too.
Wow, Fluke is really good with emotions while acting as his character Tong Fah. I loved the Chris x Jeno couple, felt really genuine (although the acting was slightly awkward at points). Tong Fah x Paper was my favourite pairing at first, then Chris x Jeno stole the stage, BUTTT the final scene of the last episode was absolutely beautiful. Gotta conclude that Tong Fah x Paper is my fav again ;) Didn't really care too much for M x Near but at least they got a happy ending. Also, glad Arthur finally felt something in that last episode.
Will episode 36 be available on Youku to non membership viewers tomorrow? I'm just confused because it says "members only" and I'm worried that I won't be able to watch it.
You are exception, they relay on people follow the actors and purchasing what they sell, if everyone would be…
Oh my freaking goodness don't even get me STARTED with the whole kpop idols and dating thing, that makes me SO MAD. Being an idol is literally their JOB just like how being an actor is a JOB, they're allowed to have lives outside of work! And fans don't have the right to get upset about that. If they really cared about the people they're fans of, they'd let them live their own lives without cancelling them every time they date someone or get caught up in a scandal that someone most likely made up.
Yes!!! Well, I have watched a few Xianxia before but this is my first Wuxia. Am I qualified? xDDD
I'll admit, I'm on episode 14 and I'm still a bit confused, but I think that's normal because the whole plot hasn't even been revealed yet. In my opinion WoH is perfect for people who are beginning to watch Wuxia because it isn't too long of a drama and each episode is exciting (and addictive lol). The main plot is very easy to understand, and many things are hinted even in the first episode.
I feel like the most confusing part is just trying to remember all the character names/positions and how each character is connected (but that comes with practice, and as you keep watching the show).
Also, the term "ghost" is a little confusing because the people in ghost valley aren't REAL ghosts and yet they keep referring to themselves as people who have "shed their human skin" and "have become ghosts." But, I'm pretty sure that's all figurative since this is a wuxia drama and not a xianxia drama. I think they're just referring more to how they've all left their old lives behind.
Anyway, I just wanna end by saying I'm really enjoying watching WoH as my first wuxia drama. I find the characters and the storyline fascinating, and the visuals and poetry and everything else is literally SO good. I would definitely recommend it for people new to the genre.
i finally caught up, but now one week until it ends for subs
I started watching it a few days ago. I promised myself I'd wait until at least 30 episodes were released so I could start binging. But, I may have underestimated myself because I'm already on episode 14 and I still have to wait until next Wednesday (I think) for the last episode. I literally suck at pacing myself LMAO
