Est is not 'just' an actor..He was a Record Holder National Swimmer..His records in swimming are yet to break,Also…
Yes, I heard that he was a swimmer before he was an actor! What's funny is I noticed how broad his shoulders were in ThamePo and I was like "dang he must work out"— I only meant I realized he wasn't a T-pop idol like the members of LYKN. I've actually heard him sing and he's got talent, so I think if he wanted to he could make a career as a singer!
is it sad ending? or they meet in the modern world?
I haven't finished the drama yet (on ep 23) but I spoiled it for myself and yes, she dies in the fantasy world, goes back to the modern day, and then they meet there. And boy does Arthur Chen look good in a suit, lol.
Interesting that it only took 3 episodes to really loving something to dropping it because it’s boring. Maybe…
When I made it to around episode 17, I was thinking "something big has to happen, it's getting a bit repetitive" and then BOOM, in episode 18-19, something big did indeed happen haha. The creators knew what they were doing, at least [I'm on ep 20 now]
I think the chemistry between the two leads really saved the drama. They kissed in every episodes but i never…
They do have wonderful chemistry, some of the best I've seen in cdramas. I'm confused though... I keep hearing everyone say that this drama spans multiple lifetimes, including immortals and humans... but I'm on episode 17 and none of that has happened yet. They're still Sima Jiao and Liao Tingyan. I guess it's just surprising, because in past dramas I've watched, they usually devote an equal amount of time to each storyline (like a third of the drama) to really flesh out the characters and make you care about them... are people mistaken about the multiple lifetimes thing then?
For your entertainment, it's "Takara-kun & Amagi-kun." Again, the acting there compared to "Old Fashion Cupcake" is just WORLDS apart. Definitely doesn't deserve to be rated so similarly.
I thing I hate about c-dramas is how they play around with good/evil n demons/“gods”. it’s like they want…
I get exactly what you mean. That has bothered me in the past, too. I think the important thing here (and in most cdramas) is when they use the word "demon," they don't literally mean Satan's henchmen. They mean an entirely separate race, born different from immortals or humans, not created or corrupted by evil. In cdramaland, evilness is not caused by what race you were born as (human, immortal, demon), but by your actions and your heart. Immortals can be greedy and evil, and demons can be righteous and innocent. Again, it's important to note the distinction between cdramas (often drawing from Chinese and Buddhist mythology) and our actual reality.
If we're following Abrahamic tradition, the God of Creation cannot be corrupted, cannot be evil, but is purer than any other being, and ultimately good. Demons were not created as demons, but became demons when they defected, turned against God, and let their selfish desire for power corrupt their hearts.
So yes, there's a big difference between how immortals, demons, and humans are portrayed in cdramas versus reality. But the way I see it, these immortals in the drama were never meant to be a representation of God, and the demons in the drama were never meant to be a representation of actual demons. That being said, there are some evil characters and spells in these dramas that seriously give me the creeps because I know there are parallels in our world today!
On second thought I might have to retract that statement because I'm not as certain anymore 😭 when Oat said he'd been filming until 4am that might've been for the pilot https://youtu.be/eT3qGC7SbPk?si=DzyCyiXZsmcTMkSo
One thing that made me think they started filming already is because some scenes I saw in the behind the scenes video weren't in the pilot, and the director said in the video "You'll be able to watch it soon. It won't disappoint." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5eU1J69BD5Y
And someone said further up in the comments that iQIYI is airing it during the first half of 2026? So....
But at the same time, some say that they're still waiting to gather money from sponsors before officially commencing the filming of the main series. So I could be wrong.
The people complaining about Phuwin not being a good kisser and not having improved his kissing since he first started acting must not have seen episode 7... because DANG I wasn't expecting that
JJ seems to have accepted his fate as the designated filler for every weak joke and forced attempt at humor. One…
Idk man JJ is booked & busy and making BANK. He was in 6 dramas in 2023, 6 in 2024, and 4 in 2025. He's got 4 projects in the works. Think about the main BL pairings like BookForce, PondPhuwin, JimmySea, EarthMix, etc. They always have an obligation to do projects together, and those are usually longer commitments, so they're unable to do a variety of different dramas like JJ. And the problem is, GMMTV needs actors who aren't in BL pairings to be side characters. If everybody was in a BL pairing, they'd literally have nobody except newbies to act as the best friend or coworker. That being said, it would be nice to see JJ get a bigger role. I really enjoyed watching AJ & JJ act in The Gifted.
What turned me off of Love in the Clouds at first was how comedic and kinda childish the whole tone of it felt. But around episode 9-10 and onwards it got more serious and I started to really enjoy it.
