Yes, it's a BL for everybody except the main character who is trying his best to avoid getting into a relationship haha It's basically a comedy, lots of exagerrated/funny situations and facial expressions.
Skip to ep 8 22:06 for Mishima's real hair lol I mean, throughout the series he wore a combination of wigs and extensions, but in this scene, it's the actor's real hair, and he looks fabulous.
They labeled themselves as gay, tho it's understandable since the story was set way back in the 90s
The way it seemed explained in the drama was that Mishima knew he was gay & enjoyed cross-dressing, but wasn't sure if he wanted to use female pronouns. Kirino on the other hand was comfortable using female pronouns and expressed his desire to travel somewhere and come back a girl.
Crazy how it's always the bullies of gay people who are projecting and beating someone else down because they're actually scared of their own sexuality. All the talk about hating homos is so performative, like they're not even doing it to scare Mishima, but to try and convince themselves that they're not what they hate so much.
This is so cute—and also criminally underrated. For how long it is—5 eps—it does a wonderful job with the pacing of the story. The actors did so well and I found their reactions really believable. Plus, the scenery is beautiful!
i generally don't leave comments... ever, but this is the only airing bl series i find myself waiting for each…
Hioki is probably the most level-headed and normal BL character I've ever seen tbh. I agree that he just feels like a "normal guy." He has friends, he gets along with people, he thinks logically, and he's not oblivious to Watarai's advances. He's also quite sure in his identity. I don't find that he's insecure about himself or worships the four guys just because everyone else does. More like he's just aware that they're more popular/taller than he is, and he's fine with that.
Looove this series. Another one of my favorite for 2025 but that beginning for episode 6. How foolish can you…
The reason I think he got in the car was because the guy asked him if he was friends with Morisaki etc. He actually said the name of Hioki's friends—so of course he would seem more trustworthy. But yeah personally??? I'd want to actually see and talk with my friends to make sure he's not a kidnapper lol
I loved the colour grading of this episode. It was so beautiful. I love how they're not afraid of letting us see the actors' natural skin tones and don't need to whitewash everything...
Also what's your pfp from?
