This drama was very good. I would've given it a 9.5 except for the fact that the first 9 ish episodes were a little too silly for me. But I really got into it at episode 10 and from then on it was just perfect. Every single episode was better than the last. I'm satisfied with the ending—finally we got to see two spiritually powerful people end the drama just as powerful if not more than they were when it started. Usually there's always one person making a crazy sacrifice—going blind, giving up their powers, leaving forever, dying and being reincarnated, etc.

Are you talking about Hao Chen? Oh, I hated that dude with a passion. The only reason I didn't count him here is because he wasn't a romantic interest of the FL. Like, he didn't get between them because he loved her and was jealous of Si Feng, but because he was a self-righteous asshole who thought he knew best. Yknow?

Ashes of Love. Runyu—this one's controversial. Yes, he's an interesting character, and sure he's sympathetic in THE BEGINNING—this is key—but as a SML, I found him extremely annoying and meddling, never considering what the FL wants. He takes advantage of her, confuses her, pretty sure he fixes her "Unfeeling Pill" to keep her in the dark as to her feelings for ML… etc etc and there's a whole lot more I'm not remembering but I was pissed at him for most of the drama.
Lost You Forever is tough because usually people side with one of the male leads and then of course they get frustrated by the other ones. All the male leads though (there are four ish) have problems. One is possessive and nearly kills the female lead, one gets pushed into a marriage and lets it happen, one is obsessive in a weird subtly controlling im-your-cousin-but-i-like-you kind of way, and the last coerces the FL into a marriage when he knows she doesn't like him. Like I said, how annoying you find each one depends on which one you're rooting for.
Chang Heng in Love Between Fairy & Devil was annoying in a "how could you be so useless" kind of way. Like I personally hate when a character claims to love someone and then acts like a pushover, wipes FL's memories, and does the whole self-righteous "I'm gonna distance myself from you to protect you" thing.

Personally once I hit episode 10 I've found the subsequent episodes straight bangers, just amazing (especially 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20). On 28 right now & maybe it's slowed down a liiiiiitle bit but that also could be because I've gotten busier and have less time to watch lol

Wow, I'll be honest, this drama got a whole lot better from episode 10 onwards. Episodes 10/11/12/13/14/15/16 have just been straight bangers. I will say, I just watched episode 10 and 11 of Love in the Clouds and REALLY enjoyed them. Probably my favourite episodes so far. They had a more serious tone than the early episodes (not silly/cheesy), and it was high stakes for the characters. I hope the rest of the drama continues like this...

Glad I'm not the only one, haha! I had the same thoughts as you when I first started it. "THIS is the drama??" xD And yes, I'm a little wary of people saying she keeps up the charade for a while, given the fact that strong relationships are built on trust, and all... but I am getting used to their sillier, more playful dynamic and I've had a few responses from people that say the tone of the drama gets a bit more serious as it goes on. So I have hope!
But she's just being fake. She's acting being clingy to suit her purpose.

Anyway, the behaviour was a little jarring after watching Fated Hearts, but honestly I'm getting kind of used to it. And the episode I'm currently watching is a little more serious in tone because someone's life is at risk, so that's interesting to watch too.

Main characters in dramas usually always suffer some kind of major setback/injury... that's just how it goes! So it made sense to me. I guess from your perspective though, it happening closer to the end just seemed like a plot device to make the drama longer. I don't know... personally, I thought it was really cool how one person I never thought was a villain and the other person who I thought would never be able to kill his best friend ended up "killing" him! It also goes to show that the ML was so strong that he could only be harmed by those close to him. Betrayal by your close ones is a very real thing.

I found myself strangely invested in Xia Jingyan & Feng Xiyang's arc in those final episodes, just because they were matching each other's crazy, haha. But even if that's not your cup of tea, there's still lots of action and resolution to come! Enjoy!

Anyway, the behaviour was a little jarring after watching Fated Hearts, but honestly I'm getting kind of used to it. And the episode I'm currently watching is a little more serious in tone because someone's life is at risk, so that's interesting to watch too.
