Okay y’all, so during my days off of here (the TSL page) I finally gave ROATF a shot. & the scene of when PXR jumped off the cliff into the water in the beginning, it definitely gave off GMP vibes. I SWEAR I SAW CXX FOR A QUICK SECOND (vividly flashed back.) I miss him! 😭
Unfortunately I don’t think I’ll be able to sit through with it until the end. As the storyline seems so empty plotted, with no actual purpose & explanation to anything. Everything’s confusingly all over the place, I sat through 7 episodes yet, I still don’t have a clear grasp on who is who, what is happening & most IMPORTANTLY WHY it’s happening??! I felt like I just went through 7 episodes of NOTHING, & their chemistry is meh… it’s so sad because I really wanted to like it! I might push through a few more episodes to past time/boredom. Until I can find something else, sad to say I’m disappointed. Hopefully Ryan & PXR’s next project will do them justice. Any recommendations anyone? I’ve tried Royal Rumors & I wasn’t feeling it either, I might as well give TSL a third watch. Missing YQ & YT terribly still!

Yes, but I just couldn’t get over the fact that he tried to kill YT & YQ multiple times, knowing that it will hurt QK. The lies were not little either, but he still didn’t care as long as he’s able to proof to his father that he is actually worth something. To me that’s just pure evil, if you’re able to hurt the ones you love.
Being broken doesn’t excuse anything. QK is much of a better person than I am, I would’ve cut ties no matter what CF’s reasoning is. Lying? Okay, maybe I’ll be able to look past that, but trying to kill one of my family members is over the line for me.
I’m glad they didn’t make him that cliche “evil until the end/last minute” character though! I love him too, but the first half ooof! My pot was boiling! Luke did amazing as well, I went from disliking his character to loving him so fast. 😂😭

I’ve always been team YQ & YT ever since the beginning. But I think, the realization of my fondness of him, didn’t hit me until right @ the moment of when Youqin was at his last moments of life after repairing the seal of Guixu. When Yetan was holding Youqin in her arms and he said to her, “You need to behave now. If you get into trouble again, no one can protect you.” Wishing her to live happy and well even in a world without him, because her happiness was worth the sacrifice of his life. That’s when I KNEW I’VE FALLEN FOR YOUQIN!
Despite them rarely knowing each other that well, along with all of the trouble that Yetan has caused Youqin, and not even knowing himself that he was gradually falling in love, he still wished for her to be happy and cared for her during his last moments. I believe that’s the moment of when Yetan realized that she loved Youqin too, as no one has ever cared about her or looked after her until Youqin. Despite her being mischievously naughty and seen as a jinx in everyone’s eyes, but Youqin, the only one who has treated her with kindness and a understanding heart that not everything is as bad as they are seemed to be.
He truly raised the bar for me in the drama world. He didn’t care or was even mad that their relationship started off on a white lie. As long as they loved each other then that’s all that matters. Meanwhile, in other dramas there will usually be a sulking/moment of hate between the leads until they finally give in and communicate. (Which I HATE, especially if it’s a small issue & the sulking/hate period between them is being unnecessarily dragged.) I don’t know, when we will be written and given another GREAT ML again. But I love him so much, CCX did so well portraying Youqin. Youqin will forever be the #1 ML in my heart. I don’t think anyone will ever reach Shaodian Youqin’s standards! (And no, I’m not being dramatic.)
CF & QK didn’t grow on me until he stopped lying/using her for his own benefit. Before that CF was sooo annoying to me. Thank goodness he turned out to be likable somewhere in the mid, to later episodes. Otherwise I would’ve hated his character until the end if he kept up with the lies. Because QK did not deserve any of that especially when everything she has done, was out of her pure heart. Even when she was upset (reasonably so) @ him after finding out that she has been lied to for his own beneficial gain. She wasn’t even mad about it for that long & even thought about it from his point of view of why he did, what he did. If he didn’t turned over to a new leaf, he would’ve ended on my list of unlikeable 2nd male leads.
Romance of a Twin Flower. It’s not as captivating as TSL. But so far, it’s enjoyably watchable. :) I don’t really have a full opinion on it yet though, as I just started.
Should I start this? And can someone spoil me the ending also whats their identities thank you so much!
Yes, without a doubt please watch it. You are in for a drama that has a good cast chemistry all around. It is also one of the dramas that has the best & healthiest bonds you’ll ever see in drama land. (Which is rare) this gem is a fun watch with a perfect touch of everything.
The sisters true identities are the twin flowers (that is known to bring destruction to the world) of a sacred tree from a clan that was wiped out by the four realms 1,000 years ago.
It’s a happy open ended ending but it is still WORTH the watch!
Alright loves I did it, I finally did it. After SIXTEEN DAYS of being unable to get myself to start anything new because of my terrible withdrawals, I managed to start something new. Hopefully no matter where I am, I will continue to see familiar usernames.
