Title Why I Dress Up for Love Spoiler
ok this drama is really cute! can anyone recommend a Japanese drama that has similar dynamics?
This drama really reminded me of the reality show, Terrace House...young good looking people living in a shared house, going to work everyday, possible romance between the members, the background music has a similar vibe and sound to it, and even the look of the production is similar. I would recommend the Opening New Doors season. Unfortunately, I can't think of any fictional dramas similar to this....it's rare to come across a japanese drama that's rooted close to reality, both in the writing and the storyline, that's why it kept feeling like I was watching an episode of Terrace House, haha.

Definitely want to thank the creators of the show for letting the actors use their own voices - it makes such a big difference when it's not dubbed! I've realized it makes the scenes between the two flow so naturally and not seem robotic or out of place. Also, the tiny nuances in the facial expressions, hand gestures, comedic timing between the two - haven't seen this in 2 leads in a long time! This combo is like catching lightning in a bottle - hope to see sequels or more dramas with these 2 leads!

Review Consummation Spoiler
Your review sums up very nicely what I was thinking! The set-up in the first episode really drew me in and I was waiting for the purpose of the VR aspect to kick in. After going through nearly half the episodes, I felt sorry for the first male lead because it seemed like the second male lead got a more complex and interesting role to play. i wondered why the first male lead didn't get more content to work with to make him more appealing to the audience or at least grow as the episodes progressed. He seemed to be the same, stagnant character and if he did change, it was at such a snail's pace. The scenes between the leads became so repetitive that they could have cut half the scenes without having any effect on the storyline. I think there's a more interesting story to be found between the second male and female leads then the actual leads. This show lost it's focus on what it should be -- you think it's an innocent romantic high school drama but then surrounding that are all these people being brutally murdered - trying to blend the 2 plots together really doesn't work.
