There are many bad things about this drama, but putting it all aside, can someone explain why they showed photos of Forth and Beam between the breaks if they were hardly seen together in the same frame let alone interacting? I get they're probably a couple or sth in the books, but what's the point of promoting the series using their couple photos if nothing between them happens (in this season) at all? Isn't it at least misleading?
It's not the typical drama I watch, but I saw actors from The Edge of 17 in the cast and decided to give it a try. So far, I really liked the first episode and can't wait for the rest!
I've just rewatched it for the first time in forever. Initially, I'd planned to rewatch just the ep.1, but ended up binge watching the whole season. I slowed only after the second kiss, 'cause it was a perfect ending for me (minus the Prae talk...). The rest was just a nice, but somehow unnecessary addition. But damn, I think I enjoyed SOTUS even more this time. I was so invested in the characters and because I forgot some details, I could relive them once again. Probably gonna rewatch it in a two years' time just to have the same reaction. :D
Yeah, New's actions threw me off. It would've made more sense for Pond to kiss New in that scene. My theory…
If it's directed toward me, then yes, I meant August (in a sense that August was the only gay guy New was aware of, not that he was the only gay in the series).
It was so hard for New to be 'opened' and not hiding with August, but then three seconds later he kisses…
Yeah, New's actions threw me off. It would've made more sense for Pond to kiss New in that scene. My theory is that New had never liked August the same way August liked him. But, because he was the only gay guy he knew, New decided to give it a try. His other option was to be alone and maybe he just really wanted to be with someone. Plus, it's possible he thought that a new relationship would make him forget about Pond. But maybe it's just me giving too much credit to the series. :D
What. a. MESS. XD From the very first episode to the very last. But it was entertaining at times.I hope they will work on the 2nd season (it can't be worse than that, can it?), unless they've already shot it.
But hey! I found two assets of the series! 1. Pond's mom. She's cool. Scenes with her weren't that bad. 2. August who's into guys, not gals, just guys (as opposed to the common trope in BL of a male character who only likes this one special guy, but he's not gay/doesn't label himself/is still into girls only, just like Bright). Maybe New and Pond are the same, but I don't remember them saying this out loud.
I've watched the whole series and I have to agree with you, I felt almost the same. I devoured first half of the this season, but then slowed down a little. Even though I enjoyed Phun/Noh storyline, the jealousy part was so repetitive, I got annoyed. I also would love to see more of the storylines you mentioned, I really enjoyed them. Anyway, I still find the series very good and I'm not disappointed (or maybe a little, but its because when something's good, you want it to be even better).
if they make Fah and Pan end up together i swear.... i'll be mad af. let her be gay ffs.
I feel exactly the same. Pan clearly stated she's lesbian, so let her be one! They've already included one girl who said she was gay, but then proceeded to date a guy. It's enough. I still have a faint hope that Fah and Pan will remain just friends, but... everything is suggesting otherwise. And it's pissing me off.
Final Thoughts: The thing with Din was unnecessary. The writers could have found a better way to resolve the issue…
Well put. Din's storyline was fine, up to the last episode. Like... why did they decide to go this road? Why were there no ramifications for Pick for talking with & meeting "Rin"? They hinted it was something more than just a friendship on his behalf, and yet...
Porsche and Emma's ending was way better than Pick and Rome's. The "I love you" was totally Pick's style, but it seems to have been said for the wrong reasons. That's why I didn't like it that much.
Is it just me, or the ending was seriously messed up? Everything was rather light-hearted and then for no apparent reason a gun was involved... I didn't even know how to react. I was just staring blankly at the screen thinking 'But why?' It was so unrealistic and unnecessary. Besides, try to put yourself in Gump's shoes... I would've been relieved (that no one's hurt) but also mad (for scaring me to death). Certainly not happy. That kind of situation could mess up with your mind. I know it's just a film, but still they could've come up with a better solution. It's just a really nasty way of trying to win somebody's heart and I'm not even happy that the main characters ended up together (even though I'd been rooting for them all along).
I really fell in love with the series! At first, I wanted to watch only Alex & Benny's parts, but after watching the whole 1st episode, I really got interested in other characters' stories. I've watched 10 episodes so far but I can't find episodes 11-13 anywhere. I don't want to watch only Alex & Benny's parts. :( I love them, but I do love other characters as well. Besides, full episodes make more sense.
I know your post is a few months old, but if you could upload at least 11, 12 & 13 episodes on your drive, with subs or without, it'd mean so much to me! I really love Happy Together and my heart hurts a little that I wouldn't be able to watch the rest of it. :(
