can you believe that for the yijin tunnel breakdown scene, the director didnāt give joohyuk any instruction? š„ŗ he did it on his own, and taeri followed. these two are just so good š

actually iām pretty sure fencing was as important to heedo than being a reporter was to yijin. and considering everything he went through, i understand why he would want to make sure he secures a good and stable job before anything else. + the trauma he got from New York really took a toll on him and changed him completely. all this to say I understand both of them š

i think exactly like in the above. she was in a relationship but kept feeling alone⦠no one would ever want that forever. as much as they loved each other. and I know how strong and beautiful that love was. I love yijin so so so much, but he was too busy with his own life (and living actual HELL) to actually be a boyfriend. heedo could have decided give it an other chance, but it was not what she wanted and I donāt blame her for that.
(And thatās coming from someone who still cries thinking about that breakup)
i completely understand peopleās disappointment as I, too really wanted baekdo to be endgame. but going as far…
as much as my heart is broken right now (I literally still cry randomly one day after š), I canāt say that ending wasnāt beautiful. This must be one of the best portrayed breakups I have ever seen. and (I know people here hate that word) HELL IT WAS SO REALISTIC I forgot I was watching a drama. most people seem to say it didnāt make sense⦠well it completely made sense to me. Heedo felt alone in that relationship (rightfully) and she knew there was a chance this was never going to change. you donāt have to keep fighting for something just for the sake of love. Itās never enough. And donāt get me wrong , Iām not blaming yijin cause he had his own objectives and I support him 200% (Iād give him literally EVERYTHINGā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø)
as much as they loved each other, times and circumstances made them drift apart, and thatās actually what happens in real lifeā¦
i completely understand peopleās disappointment as I, too really wanted baekdo to be endgame. but going as far as giving 1 to 3 in ratings???? Come on, thatās just being unnecessarily petty. Especially when WE KNEW FROM THE START they wouldnāt be endgame.
1- we got a character chart before the drama aired and clearly saw minchae wasnāt yijinās daughter.
2- in the first episode, we found out the girlās first name is kim => everyone decided yijin changed his name
3- some time after, heedoās mom tells her she saw yijin last month => everyone concludes grandma has dementia
4 - minchae asks her grandma whoās yijin => oh, more proof that grandma has dementia!!
5- « i know itās late, but congratulation on your weddingĀ Ā» => oh they must be hiding their relationship
6 - even when the preview of episode 16 clearly stated there would be a breakup, people kept believing they would somehow be together
honestly, Iām saying it again, I understand your disappointment and the pain you feel⦠but if you think about it we were clearly warned
i really canāt believe some of you are blaming yijin right now. did you forget that manās initial purpose was to get enough money to reunite his family? he struggled so much to finally get a stable job, a job he got because they exceptionally allowed people with no college graduation. he struggled to go from trainee to real reporter. still, as soon as he got the chance, he asked to be moved from sports to protect his relationship with heedo. THAT MAN DOESNāT HAVE THE CHOICE, he canāt allow himself too much cause thereās too much at stake. Are you really talking about him not trying hard enough when heās living hell in the US, getting traumatized by the horrors heās seeing and literally having nightmares and needing to take pills to hang on? his life is the worst, and heād definitely have done better if he could.
thereās nothing making me happier than the fact joohyuk decided to change yijin a bit and making him, as he say, ādumb yet cuteā some times. That comical, super dramatic part of him makes a huge difference. Iām not sure people would have loved him that much if he was just a cold flirty tsundere. thanks joohyuk for giving us that meme worthy angel ā¤ļø
He had hate for a YEAR?? For playing a character? Thatās insane.
sometimes people think we overreact whenever thereās a negative comment about jh, but istg that whole year was such a hell that weāve developed a kind of defense mechanism š anyway things are better now, my biggest wish is that he sees all the love, cause he deserves it so so much.
I know right. I checked the teaser on Netflix Asia via YouTube and the views are over 1 million within 3days.…
Iām so happy to see all the positive reactions to what we got so far, they all deserve it! itās coming soon and Iām getting more and more excited
the drama promo is done so well!! that interactive one was soooo fun. and that poster they released earlier??? PERFECT. This drama is going to be a hit (and a rollercoaster of emotions). mark my words
