I’m a bit of mixed feelings on this but generally goodI did like show enough to finish the show in one sitting…
Yes, the learning disability was realistically portrayed. My daughter suffers from such learning disabilities. And Raul did a great job with the portrayal.
Kudos ! to the writer(s), creators, producers and investors for making this excellent TV program showing the socio-economic…
Thank you for thinking of others who are suffering of learning disabilities.
My youngest daughter was diagnosed with a 'reading disability' (doctors used that term instead of dyslexia) in her early elementary school days. I've seen her suffer from bullying and being called "stupid" by some of her classmates. There were days she'd cry after school when I picked her up. Seeing her like that truly broke my heart. To this day, she still has difficulty writing -- handwriting and expressing her thoughts on paper or computer. She'll be 24 in a few weeks. However, her reading has improved over the years.
I'm glad that this J-drama was made. Kaoru's struggles is very much the reality for people with learning disabilities. Raul did a great job in portraying a character with such disabilities.
By the way, I did quite a bit of color coding of letters and numbers for my daughter. So, yes, that's a method for teaching someone who is dyslexic.
No need to apologize. Some doctors call it "reading disability". Some still call it dyslexia.
