Were you guys also surprised by the hot scenes and lines in this drama? Or is this nowadays normal in C-dramas?…
Guys, one of the reasons I even watch C-dramas cuz I hate the stuff found in American ones. The American formula for great cinema goes like this: 1. Nudity, 2. Sex, 3. Offensive language (even if censored like in Forest Gump, it's still using it as a gimmick).
Don't think I would have gained anything by continuing to watch 3L3W now that I know what's coming up...

Thanks for saving me some trouble. I hated LoveO2O for this very reason. It seems China has taken on perverted American sex-oriental values on the small screen. I shall stop watching 3L3W now. It is possible to make a good drama without sex scene/sexual suggestions etc. Only perverts/untalented hacks use these gimmicks to draw attention!
should i watch this? I'm not into fantasy though cause I prefer anime. And I haven't tried any Chinese…
I used to be just like you always prefer Japanese ent. But, have you noticed, Japanese movies and anime always look so good, but the story is always shite when you think about it. Think Attack on Titan was groovy? I would have thought too, but the huge boss at the end is so pathetic compared to the huge boss in Monkey King 2.
Point I'm trying to get is, Japanese ent. tends to be like fast food. They taste good but don't fill you. Chinese ent is the opposite, they may not look good (at first), but the really good ones are really filling at the end, more so than Japanese ent...
Really? I am so happy that the show has finally completed. Lights acting was often too much over the top.The last…
I felt the same way too (about the last few episodes) which is why I gave it a 4.5/10 in the reviews. This Yagami Light ain't a looker, but he can sure act. And this Misa is a lot cuter than the previous one. I think the scriptwriters were too hell-bent on giving Light the Anakin Skywalker treatment where he burns to death, they forgot to add their own creativity.
The part that bugs me the most is this Light Yagami seems more down to earth. I had a hard time being convinced someone like him would want to become the God of a new world order. He just didn't have that kind of narcicism in him, unlike in the anime, where Light already sees himself as a God with or without the death notebook...
Spot on! Misa in this version had incredible chemistry with Light.
"My final thoughts are about Near. I have absolutely no dang clue what was up with that character at all. I am still unsure if he was still supposed to be a boy, just played by a girl ir if they changed him into a girl and the translation was messed up. I also have no idea what was going through thier heads when they made all the changes to that character. They were all stupid and pointless."
Near was the single element that destroyed this drama for me. She came off as a smart aleck. Fine, I can live with that. But to have her be responsible for the death of the legendary Kira? WTF!! WTF!! She also killed someone and got away with it, while Light would die even if he only unintentionally killed that biker at the beginning (he didn't really believe the death note would work then).
My version of Death Note would have Near killed the same way as L, just when she thought she'd won. Make the viewers believe Light has won like he had before with L. Then, something unexpected happens and Light doesn't win. So that the lot of them died in the end, and a new generation of Kiras can spring up to continue Light's legacy without the annoying oversight of Near to stall them. Pretty sure better anti-Kira characters can be cooked up than the likes of L/Near!
Wait, are we even on the same page. The FBI died cause 'Kira' killed them. Light killed them cause they were going…
You can be acquitted of murder during a trial if it was done of out self-defense. I'm not saying what Light did was right (kill off those who resist), but I have pity for his actions. Who do you think was the one who brought in all those FBI agents from Interpol to die needless deaths. Who you think formed the anti-Kira committee so that authority figure could die at the hand of Misa when he appeared on TV? That's all L's fault...
Like L said, "I'm going to show you that Justice wins in the end". No it didn't, a psychotic baka with split personality won...
Lastly, wasn't Near a murderer when he/she killed his attacker, "b/c you laid your hands on me first." That's no longer self-defense. Near turned from a victim into a predator the moment she said that. So how does Near get away with murder, but Light doesn't? That's b/c the script writers on board were amateurs!
