crazy to think how they could manage to pull out the characters chemistry but making the story all over the place. i especially love miwa and kimuras chemistry, feels like a siblings relationship.
You weren't into S1, checked out S2 just to whine...yeah makes sense ….you knew you didn't like S1 so what even…
i dont even know what i was hoping for the s2 but im giving it a go just because sometimes there were gonna be something different for s2 on a series, and yes they have something different from the previous season and sadly its not something that i really enjoy. i honestly only checking this series out because of kato shiho since im a fan of her but i should have know it better that im not really into lesbian japanese dramas since its always either goofy or straight up bad. to each their own i guess
idk why do i even bother to check on the 2nd season since im not really into the 1st season but after watching the episode 2 im done with this dorama. this shit goofy as hell
the latest episode feels kinda off, the unstable main character like she knows everything when shes the one who doesnt know anything, shes not showing that characteristic from the previous episode which i think is kinda off and annoying. also the ending too like thats a little bit of a stretch imo. still entertaining tho.
I feel like they were giving a hint for a sequel for this dorama in the last episode, like: 1. The Volunteers only got caught one of its members, not the entire syndicate (imo this is the only strong reason to make Tokyo Salad Bowl a sequel cuz i feel like the way The Volunteers got caught is pretty meh) 2. The way Arikino said that he's still going to be a translator because he wants to help someone (Koda obviously) 3. Koda talks to the drawing that her unnie made (this is just my take, but if they really going to make a sequel, i hope they make Koda and her unnie meet again) 4. The white hooded figure that follows(?) Koda and Arikino on the last scene (maybe I'm just thinkin too much but idk showing a random person with a bright color fit doesnt really feels right if its not on purpose at all)
at last, NHK never miss with their dorama. I like the vibe of this dorama.
bro im at episode 6 rn and im so pissed why they wrote a megumi character like that like its 2025 who in the right mind thinks that such a stupidly innocent character like that will be liked by the audience. and its already having 6 episodes yet i still dont get wtf this drama is trying to convey. at this point im convinced that no gl drama will be as good as bl drama does in building the atmosphere.
man, if only he wasnt getting blackballed by the japan industry over stupid matters im 100 percent sure he would be one of the best japanese actors out there like any of his peers. japanese industry wasting such a talent, hope he finds his peace out there tho.
the storytelling and the cinematography somehow reminds me of how japan doing their movie in the early 2000s, full of high class cast yet it feels like they are just some random people playing in a movie. though its not the case for this one tho since the only high class cast in this drama is only eguchi yosuke
