I don’t see as much appreciation for Tao Tsuchiya - she trained so much for 6 months and had two neck injuries doing her stunts. She’s absolutely incredible and fit the role of Usagi perfectly. So glad she got more screen time this season! Just came back from watching the stunt videos she posted on her Instagram and I am so impressed!

Yeah there is a lot more romance this season than the last, but it does not take away from the story at all in my opinion. They’re following the manga where Arisu and Usagi developed a loveline. The only problem is that they toned down the romance in the S1 that was present in the manga, so now that they’re trying to develop their loveline this S2, it does seem a little more abrupt. But I still enjoyed their chemistry and it doesn’t take away from the story, just wish it was developed a bit more in S1.
At the end of S1 though, they shared a hug after the Beach was burnt down and bonded after everything ended if I remember correctly.

I also like how the romance doesn’t really take anything away from the story - like it wasn’t the main focus. It was a good subplot. Personally liked their chemistry as well.

I really liked their chemistry too! I saw a bunch of tiktok edits of them so I thought people did as well, but maybe not as much on here. They’ve obviously had a thing going on during S1, so I definitely expected their romance to develop in S2. It followed the manga pretty closely so I don’t see it being “forced” like some people are saying. Ah well, to each their own.
