Title Ouroboros Spoiler
I wonder, am I the only one that thought that this Japanese action\detective drama suddenly turned into a Korean (or may be even Brazilian) one in the last episodes?... What? Father?! Where did it come from?!

That said, I do agree it is fitting that they stayed together in the end (even though killing yourself is a really lousy and worthless action, IMO)... but everything else about the ending feels kind of screwed. I wish the plot could give us a bit more unexpected and a bit less absurd ending lines. But overall, great drama! Ikuta, hooray! Your "cameo Brain Man's appearance" in the attraction park episode was all good, bridge more of those. :)

This should really have ended with the second to last episode.
The idea is nice but why make the mood so very depressing?! Then again if it was a bit less gloomy then it would really be a clone of Detective Cheo Yong.

Good that I read these comments before watching (thanks everyone). Otherwise it would have been just too frustrating. Hate it when protagonists create 80% of the problems for themselves on their own. But since I already new it was gonna be a "pointless cycle of parting and reunion", it ended up being watchable, and I still have all my hair in place. :) And considering that beside the plot line everything else was really well done - fights, adventures, etc. - it was an enjoyable ride!

This was exactly the ending I was hoping for since I am weaksauce for the ultimate unity of a husband and wife…
Should be probably marked as spoiler.

What is wrong with them?! Such good series - this one, Startling Steps, Holy Pearl - the start is so much fun to watch! But then it first get serious (ok I can deal with serious, and some seriousness is good to have but still give us some break once in ten episodes, will you?) and in the end "everybody dies" (or worse)! Are Chinese people somehow allergic to happy endings? I know I am being too harsh and a bit impolite (dubuchi) but I have just finished watching this 50 episode series and I feel too cheated... probably same as the protagonist. I may not care much about the girl dying but I do hate seeing a guy just watching people attack him and his loved ones and doing nothing all the time, just standing there with a sad face for pretty much whole of last 30 episodes... including the final "battle". And the beginning was so great! Too bad.

It was nice. Though IMHO not nearly as strong as MARS (through which I found this one). Mostly because I felt like majority of the problems the characters created for themselves by themselves. Sacrificing and being selfless is only good to a limit, and after that it becomes like a monster that will eat both yourself and the other party you sacrificed for. Imagine how less painful everybody's lives could turn out if at most of the times each character just said out loud how they felt. (Especially for the love triangle Kiyoka-Junya-Subaru.) The only character I really liked and admired without any "but"s is the brother. Too bad we did not get to know more about him and his future.
Still, it was a very nice watch.

Good. But the soundtrack from City Hunter felt really weird when they put it in, in couple of places (screwdriver incident, airport)... I just felt like he is going to turn into Lee Min Ho any second now! :)

The ending was not that sad...i think. After all these comments I kind of expected something terrible to happen, but it was... probably an expected outcome and may be even for the best. I also like happy endings, but not when they are too difficult to believe and don't fit the story. Here all pieces fit together perfectly in the end. Definitely worth the watch.

this sounds interesting but idk if i should watch this because there is no review woosh need help ^^
I love this kind of fantastic beautiful stories, so i was very glad to see there is such a movie (even though it obviously doesn't have a blockbuster budget in it, to 'draw' all the fictional stuff) and enjoyed both first and this movies a great deal. If it sounds interesting to you then it probably won't disappoint you. The story is nice, all myths and creatures are interesting and beautiful, and in general it is a feel-good movie.
