Hello! I edited the page last night, but my update was rejected because someone had already edited before me. Maybe someone added them before I could. But I’ll try to add them.
You’re here again! 😂 We were just talking under the photo I posted earlier, and now you’ve arrived perfectly on time for this one too. Honestly, I appreciate the consistency it’s like you’re my unofficial “post checker.” HAHA. But since we’re already discussing it, let me explain my side clearly and politely.
Technically, yes the video is the theme song MV. That part is correct. The format of the clip is based on the official OST, and the main audio is the theme song itself. So if we look at it strictly by definition, calling it a music video is right.
However, the reason I called it a new trailer is because the way the official account presented it makes it function like a promotional trailer too. The caption focuses heavily on the story, the themes, the characters, and even the premiere date elements that belong to a trailer, not just an MV. The visuals also include dramatic scenes, symbolic imagery, transitions, and narrative hints that are usually found in teasers and trailers.
Chinese drama promotion often blends formats: OST MVs, trailer-style MVs, concept films, and teasers all overlap. That’s why many fandom pages, entertainment accounts, and even official teams refer to these videos interchangeably as “trailers,” “MV trailers,” or “promo videos.” It’s normal.
So in the end, we’re both right in different ways. You’re correct about the format, and I’m not wrong about the function.
But thank you for pointing it out politely and for showing up again so quickly after the last discussion. 😂 It actually makes the conversation more fun. Let’s keep the energy friendly as the premiere gets closer!

Finally, the cast page has been edited! Win Win and Chao Yue are now listed, though the lineup is still incomplete. Can’t wait to see the complete lineup.
I’ve noticed that the director has done a remarkable job in youth dramas, including his previous works When I Fly Towards You and more. It will be exciting to see how he brings this new story and its characters to life. With Yang Chaoyue, Dong Sicheng, and the rest of the cast line-up joining the project, this school themed story promises engaging moments and heartfelt scenes. We are looking forward to seeing their performances and how the director, cast, and production team collaborate to create another memorable project for audiences to enjoy.
i don't think they will hold a booting ceremony after the hk disaster but let's see
You’re right, given the current situation it may be difficult to hold the booting ceremony as planned. Let’s see how things unfold, and hope that the production can proceed safely and smoothly. Wishing the cast and crew all the best during this time.
November 27, 2025. Yang Chaoyue and Dong Sicheng have joined the cast of “Sunshine Through the Rain.” Filming officially began on December 6, 2025, with the booting ceremony held on December 9, 2025. Can’t wait to see this fresh and exciting project come to life!
Oh my! I hope I’m not too late to express my excitement. I’m overjoyed to see Chao Yue and Win Win cast together they are my favorites! It’s especially delightful that Chao Yue will finally get to act in a school setting, fulfilling her dream role. I can’t wait to see the chemistry between them and explore the rest of the cast lineup. This project looks very promising, and I am excited to support it. Wishing the entire cast and production team great success and a smooth filming process.
Just watched the trailer and it left such a strong impression. The production looks stunning, and the tone of the drama feels emotional, gripping, and beautifully intense. The actors deliver such expressive moments even in the short clips shown. The trailer’s pacing is perfect it draws you in smoothly and then hits you with scenes that make you excited for what’s coming. It gives off the feeling that the drama will be deep, romantic, and full of interesting twists. The overall vibe is exactly the kind that stays in your mind after watching. And finally… after waiting so long, the release is near. I seriously can’t wait anymore. I’ve been waiting for this drama for such a long time, and now the trailer makes me even more excited.
I read the title and presumed it would completely different, after reading the synopsis I’m just confused
I felt the same after the first episode! It really does play out like a light romcom, just with the alien concept added for fun. I think their “no powers on Earth” rule is why the alien plot feels softer for now. And yes, the emotions are interesting it's like they’re slowly developing feelings they weren’t supposed to have, maybe influenced by being on Earth or being around humans. I’m curious how the show will explain that later too.

I get what you mean! The title really made it seem like the story would go in a totally different direction, but after watching the first episode, it actually feels more like a light rom-com with a sci-fi twist. The alien part doesn’t seem too heavy for now, more like a fun element added to their personalities and secrets. Their emotions also seem pretty human, so I’m curious how the show will explain that later on.
