i completed it...historical mystery isn't my favorite genre. But the magic/supernatural elements and storyline were enough for me to finish it. Wouldve liked to see more of the bromance and friendship building between LiSi and MengRui.

It seems I'm not a huge fan of ML (Luo Yun Xi) acting but I do like Alen Fang (mengrui) so i watched mainly for him.

Oh the 2 main OSTs were lovely! SaDingDing and Liu Yuning nailed the emotions in their songs!

so ML realizes FL is in a fragile emotional and mental state and his suggestion is "open relationship"? NOT therapy???? lol sigh

I could sympathize with FL right up until she gave those weaka*s manipulative "explanations" for the cheating. Why bother throw yourself into denial, cry everytime you saw ML after the cheating, etc etc, to then do what...confess to 2ML, barely apologize to ML and want him to turn a blind eye!?

Also FL knows all the betrayals ML experienced in his life from ppl closest to him...so for FL to turn around and cheat on ML is diabolical

Exactly. Also how many times FL save the entire ML family from complete annihilation?! I'm being cheeky but just for that...ML should take whatever love he gets lol. More seriously, for someone not head over heels in love with the ML...FL did a lot and showed endless grace, kindness, care, and loyalty to him.

ML was also a good man to have recognised and understood this profoundly, esp after all the crap he and his family pulled on FL. I like that he actively worked to understand her and tried to right whatever wrongs that he could WITHOUT wrapping it up in pity or projected guilt towards FL. He truly respected and admired her as his equal (and probably more).

one of the funniest dramas ever!!! it's so so good and Shin Hye Sun is such an amazing actress. FL portrayed the gender swap really well...the mannerisms are on point and very convincing. One of my favorite dramas to date.

A MASTERPIECE. The cinematography, the storyline, the acting, the production, the multicultural awareness, the support cast, the main leads, that damn villain lol, the comedy, the drama, the romance...my gosh...so well done! Fave drama of all time (across all genres, cultures, and languages might i add). Absolute banger!!!!

REALLY GOOD! I appreciate the women relationships were handled, and also that FL did not centre her life AT ALL around the ML, yet FL was still caring wise and kind to ML. Also the drama itself is very well made....mature storytelling and grounded in realistic enough expectations and consequences for the actions of each character. totally loved this! One of the most excellent dramas of 2026!

Ep6, with the loan sharks & ML talking abt his family background, answered a niggling thought i had abt the ML. I often thought although he's undeniably caring...ML has a bit of a mean/evil streak bubbling under the surface. I see it esp with ML and SFL interactions...i feel like he's a bit...callous(?) with her. I dunno how to explain it lol. Am i the only one who thinks this?

mdl calendar says 4 episodes tomorrow...is that true? DO we have express or something?

lol why do cdrama prod team always do this? Ep25 was so rushed it's nonsensical. They couldve cut so much of the 1st half to make the overall pacing and storyline more coherent and efficient...why they always wait until the last few episodes to rush things? EP25 is such a farce lol sigh

So i am enjoying this drama, yet i am struggling to connect to Zhou Ye's portrayal of FL character. Her expressions seem more lacking than restrained+cold. FL is missing the mark for me. Xu Kai (and the rest of the cast) seem to be carrying the drama more than ZY. I was looking forward to ZY performance in this one. Sighhhh

Not sure if this is a spoiler but....do we know why ML/Shen Run is so trusted by the Emperor? Did they say exactly why in the drama or in the novel?

A simple watch but the romance is a bit silly and unrealistic imo...or perhaps it's the translation? I don't get the interactions between ML and FL. Yes ML was very rude and FL has every right to be upset. But he's the VP of her company and she's a trainee. lol how is FL being so casual, abrupt and dismissive with the VP (and in public in front of other employees)?!? This is a bit ridiculous for me lol

not sure abot the translation since i'm intl viewer but in one of the earlier episodes ML said to FL that he's patient & he can wait until she figures it out. I wondered if that was the clue that he already knows who she is.

ML already knows that FL is the girl from his childhood right? After all this time, he must have investigated what happened that night in the fire and learned that FL mother was part of the Xie family. So FL coming back as the missing fourth daughter....ML mustve already figured it out already, right?

can't wait for this to air! Question... did the main leads do their own voiceovers? Is it their voice in the drama? I don't see any info about voiceover actors here on mdl. Does anyone know?
