I am okay with the ending, it was realistic for a historical drama. They could’ve thrown the Choi Hwan lovers a bone with the epilogue but it’s short enough that I can ignore it.
This drama annoyed me for real. Why did Yijae have to get his legs chainsawed off to learn that life is valuable? If the drama wanted to be just thriller/horror/mystery, then that would’ve been fine. Don’t spend 6 eps having him die the most gruesome deaths imaginable and then put him in the body of his ma and pretend like you did him a favour by teaching him that suicide is a selfish and personal failure. I’m sure he came out of this whole experience with way more trauma than he went in.
