This is exactly what I love about fiction, it gives us an opportunity to delve into the psyche of different characters even though we might not necessarily agree with their actions. It helps us to see why people do the things they do, why humans fall into cycles of violence and depravity, it makes us understand the human condition more deeply. What I love about KinnPorsche and many other Thai dramas is how they portray unhinged characters and relationships, even though dismissing their actions as "evil" is easy to do, that doesn't erase the concept of evil from the overall narrative of the human condition. Every human has a light and dark side to them, whilst some act on their good nature, there are those who act on their darker sides so we can't expect everyone to live a perfect life. I want to explore the darker side of humanity as well and even though I love characters with morally questionable actions, that doesn't make me a bad person, and it doesn't make you a bad person either. I think people who attack us and tell us that we like toxic portrayal of humanity in media don't understand that we are all capable of inherent evil just like we are all capable of good, and to be a human means to explore these concepts through stuff like fiction, video games, anime etc. (without harming anyone!) I would say is actually good for us rather than suppressing our desire to learn about the darker aspects of humanity. I want to see bdsm, power dynamics, "toxic" relationships, violence, complex dynamics rather than a pre-packaged "perfect" narrative of what "love" is supposed to be like!

I live for Vegas and Pete scenes <3 and I'm afraid we won't get many scenes before the end!! we don't have many episodes left :(

Soo Yeon with short hair really suits her, and I love her wardrobe upgrade. Also patiently waiting for Dong Ha and Soo Yeon romance

My prediction is MIL will not regret how she treated Soo Yeon, instead regret getting caught, pretty sure she will end up in jail and the same for Yu Ra. I think the one who will regret the way he treated Soo Yeon will be the ex husband and he will cry and hate himself over it. Soo Yeon's dad plotline will probably resurface when Soo Yeon finds out the phone at some point, also the doctor who did the autopsy will resurface too. Dong Ha is definitely the love interest of Soo Yeon and we are finally starting to see interactions between them, I LOVE THEIR CHEMISTRY can't wait for Dong Ha to fall in love with her (I'm sure he will fall in love with her first)

I skipped to around episode 6 of penthouse and starting watching after the big hidden secret/reveal happened, it gets really fun from then because theres actual revenge happening, but penthouse is a good starting place its what got me into makjang. Another rec i have is Money Flower its a revenge makjang and the male lead is smart and always ahead of the bad guys it was so addicting to watch

This guy seems like such a pointless character lol like we really dont need this guy meddling in their business it feels super trite

Let's keep our hopes up for now, so far we haven't seen Ra El make any stupid decisions based on her feelings and I hope that stays. Also hopefully there will be more scenes between her and eun pyeong now that he declared to himself he will help her in her revenge

Ra El is so guarded around him i find that pretty interesting, like she always wants to "repay her debt" around him, but maybe because she is not ready to accept his love for her yet since she is so blinded by revenge right now, hopefully we will see them working together in the futureeee

i totally feel you, in the end of the day what Ra El feels for Yoon Gyeom is trauma bonding, like only because they both share traumatic past doesn't mean that its love, and I see the writer trying to (not so) subtly show that Ra El is starting to like him and that they are "twin flames" like the whole part when they talked about "they are destined" because they were coincidentally into the same musical instrument is basically kdrama logic being forced into us. also eun pyeong is such a dynamic and complex character like i dont give a crap what yoon gyeom is thinking only because he is so "stoic" ~oh so mysterious~ bs it just shows how passive he is. im waaayyy more interested to see eun pyeong's character and how he fits into the revenge with LY group and how han pan ro is interested in scouting him to be part of his crew. i know eun pyeong isnt a dumbass and all this time he was researching things and im sure he has stuff up his sleeve too

Im keeping my expectations low because i dont want to be disappointed but the scraps of 5 minute screen time we got between yun pyeong and ra el was sooooooo sweet and the sad background music ahhh im getting pulled into their story. Also yeon pyungs character is like waaaayyy more interesting to me like we barely know what he is planning and he is hopefully not a side character he has been building his career and reputation this entire time to help take down LY group what i like about that is he never takes Ra Els spot light but also no dumbass and actually has the power to help her with revenge not to mention she can completely just let go of her mask and hard shell around him like he is her safe place i cant wait to see how he plays a role in the revenge

The romance theyre trying to force us down our throat must be deadass written by a cringe writer because it aint romance its obsession and lust, and my girl Ra El better not get caught up in that bs she is sooooo much better than that im sorry but yoon gyeoms character is so bland especially with the cringy backstory and past like im sorry am i supposed to root for this character when he is literally so passive and cold to his wife and a cheater on top of that fff hoping ye ji and sang yeobs 5 mins an episode screen time can sustain me lolol

Seo Yeji has chemistry with anyONE male or female, if she was doing tango next to a chair id say she had chemistry with the chair too. And all the females in this comment section are secretly simping over her too 😂

Yeah it totally seems like an excuse putting all the blame on So Ra when he was the center of this mess and no matter what back story they give him its just a cheap excuse because even when one thinks one is powerless we always have a choice and his inaction and stoic bland character gets on my nerve lol i think at the very least if Ra El cant end up with Eun Pyeong Im fine with that since revenge is such a big thing here but Ill take that ending over Ra El falling head over heels and them forcing romance on us by ruining her character and how merciless she can be when taking revenge

Yeah the beginning of ep6 was so cringe when Ra El went on about forbidden love and how loving means to act without reason and its dangerous. Im sorry but the writing at that part was so cringe like it was written by a 13 year old girl who doesnt know what true love is. Maybe im too old for this but love is unconditional and not about power or lust but its its about healing,vulnerability, seeing the best in another and growing together. What Ra El and Yoon Gyeom have is lust and obsession and revenge. I am totally down to see Ra El take revenge and use Yoon Gyeom for her master plan but I do NOT ship her with him, they are both toxic for each other and i hate when they romanticize concept like "twin flames" and stuff like that haha Im just here for some sweet revenge and Ra El always being one step ahead of everyone because we need more FLs like that who wont get caught up in "romance" to jeopardize their path to bringing karma to her enemies INCLUDING yoon gyeom

Everyone complaining about doormat FL but we need to see her suffer and make stupid decisions so she can grow and take delicious revenge as the story continues. It will be boring if she was already a mastermind now, we still have 50+ episodes to go and FL needs to struggle more to realize how cruel the world really is. Bring on the angst!! Im loving the old school vibe of this drama lol
