Title Gold Mask Spoiler
I will never understand the logic of makjang second female leads who would actually kill someone for the useless…
Lol I actually think Yu Ra has a lot more going on than just killing for the sake of that spineless ex husband. She is clearly a fake (considering the shady stuff from her past) also she totally seduced ex husband to legally be part of the family and a con artist deceiving the evil mother in law. Cant wait to see the reaction of mother in law when she realizes she practically invited a con artist to her family by doing all this crazy stuff to a daughter in law who was actually too good for the family (always took care of her and her family)

Title Eve Spoiler
Ra El got more chemistry with Han So Ra than the actual chairman Yoon Gyeom, damn that tango dance was sooooooo fire, I loved the chemistry 🔥🔥🔥🔥 i will suffer through the bs romance they might set up between the chairman and ra el (forced connection and "forbidden love" crap and cheap ways to redeem yoon gyeom's infidelity and lackluster character by giving him a sympathetic past and had "nothing to do with it" give me a break he had everything to do with it just by association) because i love everything else about this drama. Second lead syndrome here I comeeee seo eun pyeong literally the only character who can see through ra el and her vulnerability, sees the best in her and treats her as a deity to be loved unconditionally as she should be because she is the deity of revenge and karma.

So Ra is a shitty person and i hate her a lot but i couldn't help but feel bad for her in ep 5
So Ra is a shitty person but I actually kinda like her character idk I feel like the story does a good job of showing that she also has human desires that she craves (approval from her father, being overshadowed by in-laws, seeking love from her husband)

I know somethings are very stupid and unbelievable like her hiding tattoo with concealer but this is drama and…

i think they left out who the main lead is purposefully. yoon kyeom is her twin flame, someone she possibly is,…
Very well said, at first I was feeling like the whole "twin flame" dialogue was forced into the story but I see now what the intent of the writer is when you explained it that way. I guess this is why I can't really get myself to support yoon kyeom and la el's relationship, its toxic and destructive, and i dont see anything positive coming out of it, which is why i get what you mean that yoon kyeom is la el's destruction, like a flame that burns everything in its wake

Title Why Her?
I would be glad to see fl with no morale but i am pretty sure writter would sugercoat it by telling Fl bad past…
Yeah I'm pretty sure we will have all the tropes it's kdrama after all, but its about the art of storytelling and how they bring more dimensions to her character, and it looks like they're going to use Gong Chan to soften her up

Title Why Her? Spoiler
I’m already in love with this drama and its great to see more dark female leads in dramas, but when she defended…
I don't think she necessarily defended the rapist. What I saw out of the scene was that she literally took apart all the arguments that the FL had by showing that she had a bad lawyer and her proof of evidence was weak, so she couldn't win the case at that rate. Soo Jae even gave her own business card as a jab by saying that if you want to win the case you should hire me. But of course, her cockiness took over when she said "we are very different" because in the end of the day they are not different at all. The two characters wearing the same shoes (that men with higher power gave them) symbolizes that. Also I'm pretty sure the girl didn't commit suicide, it was obviously murder, and the whole scene where she falls from the top literally (someone from the top pushed her) is parallel to how Soo Jae's boss also pushed her down the ranks when he was done using her

Title Why Her?
Glad to see that the story didn't sugarcoat anything and showed what Soo Jae had to sacrifice in order to become a top lawyer, it is very realistic, the world isn't all rainbows and butterflies and in order to be at the top there are people who literally sell their soul and morality. It has been interesting to see FLs nowadays actually embodying the darker side of humanity in kdramas, this was definitely not common back in the days and I'm not complaining. It's good to see antiheroes and flawed FLs for a change.

Title My Liberation Notes Spoiler
Just finished catching up to the latest ep and honestly, I am enjoying this drama. Not the kind of enjoyment to…
I am an INFJ too and I get BIG INFJ vibes from Mi Jeong. As for Mr. Gu, I think he is an ISTP. Another ISTP character that I really liked by the writer of this drama is IU's character in My Mister.

Title My Liberation Notes Spoiler
I have a lot to say about the ending of episode 10. At first I was REALLY confused about the dream sequence with Mr. Gu and Mi Jung running (as though they are liberated), and then flash forward to 2022 with Mr. Gu coming back to Seoul (as seemingly another asshole ex of Mi Jung). After reading some comments, I realize that they are both dream sequences that are two different options for Mr. Gu after everything that transpired in the episode. In one of the scenes he warns his rival that he was exhausted and taking a break, and now he has two options of either working in the countryside or coming back to Seoul to take back his business. But I think that's what is showcased in the dream sequence. Neither of those sequences are real, as they are both two options that Mr. Gu can choose, and we don't know YET what Mr. Gu will choose as the story continues (we still have 6 more episodes to go) and I HONESTLY believe that Mr. Gu will be with Mi Jung. Maybe I'm disillusioned but so far we have only seen our characters grow closer and stronger together, how each of them bring out the best in the other, and help each other heal and grow in the best ways possible. So there's NO WAY they will both go their own ways in the future. These two fools are made for each other! And if nothing, the whole train sequence where Mi Jung is the reason why Mr. Gu is saved and the way Mi Jung is the catalyst for Mr. Gu's salvation, should show that they are made to be together! It's truly beautiful.

The way Mi Jung worshipped Mr. Gu was the turning point for him imo. The way she said that she doesn't care whether he is a monster, whether is an alien or a criminal, or what his background is. This is truly what it means to worship another individual, to see past t heir darkness, and to accept someone despite everything. Even though Mr. Gu blows hot and cold, Mi Jung will not SWAY, her love will only be stronger as they grow closer. And I think Mr. Gu needed that reassurance to finally go back to Seoul and face his enemies. Even though Mr. Gu acts all tough and shit, he is deeply insecure of not being loved and Mi Jung worshipping him, and telling him that she will go all the way for him really gave him an existential and genuine courage to face himself. And that's why Mr. Gu says he is scared of Mi Jung, because she sees right through him, and he is scared of being abandoned, but when she tells him she won't abandon him, it's like a big weight lifted off. And the beginning of a new dynamic where he finds strength to pursue her and to pursue what he feels he deserves. And Mr. Gu deserves THE WORLD.

ALSO, Changhee is basically the entire fandom who is IN LOVE WITH Mr. Gu, and he is the captain of our Worship Couple ship hehehehe. I live for their bromance. Can't believe Changhee confessed to Mr. Gu before Mi Jung lmao

I would jump on him and kiss him if he looks at me like he does at Mi Jung. I wonder how Mi Jung is holding herself!!!…
Mi Jung has a patience of a saint. Mr. Gu is soooooo hot wtf how can she keep a straight face everytime Mr. Gu gives that cute little smirk because its so unexpected he's usually so quiet and stoic huhuhu I'm a goo for Mr. Gu

ki jung is becoming more and more precious to my heart, she is a blast of emotions i want to hold her and protect
I used to dislike Ki Jung because I thought she was so shallow in the first episode, but HOLY COW she is slowly becoming one of my favorite characters. I LOVE the character development and growth, and the show makes us feel like we are growing ALONG with the characters so its totally believable, her flaws make her relatable, understood and complex

This is the best bromance that we need but don't deserve

Hyun Jae is so frustrating to watch lol he is exactly the kind of guy I don't like. Even though he says he knows how to keep boundaries, he is actually the exact opposite and being a pushover w/ his ex. He doesnt show the ex her place but keeps running back to her at her beck and call so ofc she will keep acting like that, the ex is annoying but Hyun Jae basically encourages her to act rudely. The beginning of ep 9 was so frustrating, i mean he already made arrangements to meet w/ Mi Rae but oh his ex wants to talk to him, so he will just ditch that for her. Seems like he didnt learn his lesson when got dumped by his ex last time. also its so cringe to see her get close to him even though her divorce isnt even finalized yet and hyun jae LITERALLY says nothing and lets her have her way. He needs to learn how to make boundaries w/ his clients especially his ex like who even goes out to get drinks w/ their client after trial? I feel like if Hyun Jae was the FL he would get a lot of hate. But his personality irks me a lot and I hope we get to see his character develop. On the other hand Ive grown to like Mi Rae a lot, she is so honest and straightforward and owns up to her positivity and flaws, loved how she confessed honestly this ep

Ugh does anyone know of any dramas/movies/shows that ACTUALLY focus on occult, mythology and horror aspects better than this drama promised me but did not deliver? Im just so disappointed because I really wanted something dark and occult that focuses on East Asian folklore and mythology, but I can't seem to find anything good

It was too short, I feel like there wasn't enough time for me to engage with the characters at all. And I wish they delved more into the lore and supernatural aspects of it.

I actually like her. And I think she’ll definitely will/is shaking YoonJae’s world. I find it quite hilarious…
Lol yeah its really cute. I think the eldest couple are my favorite. I love how spunky she is for her age which shows that older age shouldn't mean you cant have romance. So im rooting for them even more because eldest bro is clueless af and nerdy which matches Haejuns spunk and how direct she is. Her crush started off innocent and cheesy but Im confident that it will be much deeper because we have 40+ episodes to go haha
