i hateeee that they spent so many months filming... and in terrible conditions too... i remember all the late nights dudu had to work T___T seeing the final cut now makes my heart break bc it's so disrespectful to all the effort she put in

yeah i hope she never works with GJM ever again lmao 3 times is enough! i know she's said multiple times that she loves wu wangyan and it really did give her an opportunity to work on her skills but i don't expect much from GJM when it comes to letting her character shine properly 😔

(first red flag for me was when she finally met up with xiao wei again after searching for her for a century and all wwy got to say was "long time no see". and then they weren't even given a proper parting scene... at this point i'm just taking in dudu's highlights where i can get them)

yeah tbh equal billing doesn't always guarantee equal screentime (there's a recent drama that came out where the leads had equal billing but the ML got very few scenes even compared to the SML) but i expected it since the plot had always been marketed to revolve around LWY hah
