Does anyone know if any of these characters are based on real people? It has the feel of telling a story about…
I'm also curious about this! I just finished the last episode where they show occupational descriptions of each character so it makes me wonder if this drama is based on any true happenings
I just caught up with the episodes. Okay so I know that Kui Mu Lang is in the wrong for lying to Qi Pa all this time, but the scenes after she throws the bracelet at him ... π Poor baby, I can't help but feel bad. CZY's crying is on point that I almost cried with him πππ
Everyone wants CZY to get Instagram but, correct me if I'm wrong, I thought Instagram was banned in China or something? I didn't think much of him not having it until I saw that ZLS has IG so now I'm kind of confused
This drama might not be S+ but it's so funny π As usual CZY nails his role and WXY is hilarious and adorable at the same time. Totally watching this for the laughs
So I tried watching WHEN I FLY TOWARDS YOU which is written by the same author. Itβs rated 9.8 on Viki and I…
Honestly same. The first few episodes were okay for me but then the plot started to drag and I could care less about the 2nd CP. In my opinion, neither the ML nor FL carried the show. They were cute but I couldn't feel the chemistry. I even thought it would be better than Our Secret but it wasn't. At least CZY carried that show. Personally, I feel like all the Hidden Love antis tried to use WIFTY's ratings as competition lol
Been following CZY since this project. This cdrama and cast is not as popular as Hidden Love but I've watched this multiple times and loved the vibes! If you liked DJX, I think you'll fall for Zhou Siyue as well!
I sort of agree with you when it comes to the drama but I think, if I remember correctly, it was a bit more slower…
Oh I see! It's been a while since I read the novel but that makes sense. But as someone mentioned, the past few episodes before the pursual did happen between 10-12 months, especially the hospital scene being 3 months before the drunk scene. I would've also loved if there could've been more scenes of DJX's background and slowly falling for SZ but I guess he's always had some sort of attraction/feeling since the hospital. He even mentioned that he would be happy if SZ dated someone else. Only when he indirectly confirmed SZ liked him was when he decided to full on pursue her. He's such a gentleman for that
The only thing that did not satisfied me so far in the series is that the ML's feelings for Fl developed very…
I sort of agree with you when it comes to the drama but I think, if I remember correctly, it was a bit more slower for feelings to develop in the novel. Because of limited episodes, production team probably had to condense that time so there was room for other parts of the story. Really glad that the drama wasn't a very slow-burn romance though. While it would've been realistic, the leads' chemistry is super amazing and would've gone to waste without all the romantic scenes they're planning to use from the novel
I'm so sad about how we only have 9 more episodes to go. What do I do with my life after this drama? I wish we could see this beautiful CP in another drama together or maybe even a cameo in SY's spinoff drama
I actually really like SZ. I think that she is a more introverted lead. So often introverted book characters are…
SZ is really an interesting character, I agree! There are all these subtle things in her time at uni that really shape her personality. I think she's pretty family-centered, adding on DJX. I love how she's regularly face-timing her parents at night, and she really doesn't go out with crowds or stay too long in party settings. I don't see a lot of that in other dramas but it's very realistic to most kids in Asian cultures that grew up close to their parents. She respects her wellbeing and knows her boundaries.
Omg, can we talk about episode 13?!!! The shamelessness, flirtatious smiles, and that iconic strawberry scene??? The novel is really coming alive now and I'm so excited for what's going to happen next!
I feel like this is the first C-drama that I've watched without the hassle of other unnecessary second cp leads taking up half of the plot. I love how each and every episode has meaningful scenes between the main leads. I really took the time to watch every single minute! This is exactly how you give justice to a novel adaptation. I'm so hooked!
