If we talk science and logic on dal should be dead after he was shot by that number of arrows, and yeah they held his funeral and i think the monk has taken his coffin to hold a rite to bring back the soul that on dal has veiled(pretending to be dead with no pulse and no breath) by that technique that he learned from the monk before his departure to the war. This is an unbelievable thing and just on dal must be dead.
