just finished ep 8 and it was enjoyable for me. it was refreshing to see this kind of plot where it revolves around…
From my perspective, I don't think she changed her personality. I feel like she was suppressing her personality to fit into the role of higher status wife, coming from a humble background of a merchant's daughter. In the beginning episodes she was more reserved and followed what the in-law wanted without voicing any disagreements. One of the reasons she married is out of Filial piety for the Liu family providing medication for her mother. Take what resonate, just a different opinion.
