can anyone tell me why do the princes carry the metallic ladder kind of object covered with a cloth on their back? Also, I know that the drama was made on low budget but I still can't ascribe that as the reason for the emperor's open and not so impressive armor... Any thoughts on that?

Even though the drama is supposed to be a love story, the romance between the leads is forbidden. They can only exchange glances. You can say the FL is strong because she doesn't fear siding with justice even though the consequences might be dire. Also she is cheerful and knowledgeable but doesn't know any martial art.
That last episode ends on a bad note on two aspects. One was the love story, which of course was anticipated even before I started this drama. But it ended on a bad note for NRA as well (you know what I mean), maybe that's one of the reasons we don't see a rating above 9 for this drama. I expected everything else apart from the love story will end on a good note. that's why a 9.5 from me
if i say.. i also dont understand why U like "Tears In Heaven" than this....IF u have doubt on the "cliche story-line…
I know these are amongst the top actors and I'm not new to C-dramas. Besides Shawn Dou and Li qin aren't any less either I have probably said it in a wrong tone, but I was just trying to figure out the reason
Highly UNDERRATED! I don't get why people like cliche korean dramas like true beauty, where it's only the same old childhood crush, reach and Intelligent ML, poor clumsy FL kind of nastiness. Even though this drama doesn't have a very new storyline , whatever is presented is realistic and not exaggerated on any front. THIS IS MUST WATCH
