I stopped watching the show after episodes 12 and 13 when the ML chose to protect the man involved in trafficking…
Character assassination??? Do you even know who Zhan Zhao is? He is a man of the law, not a vigilante. He is THE legendary Justice Bao's trusted bodyguard and the imperial enforcer of Kaifeng. He would never do the kind of thing you want him to do... that would be the real character assassination. a 5 star review based on that judgement is so unfair.
it is a discussion posted by user kongel. it said....If you ever wonder why the two brothers have the same names, here's a footnote under chapter 19 by Megajive Translations:
"At this juncture I need to explain a major plot point. The direct translation of the title of this novel is Double Chengāreferring to the two brothers. Cheng being their surname. They were given the exact same names Cheng Yi Chen in pronunciation, obviously a highly unusual practice. The written character Chen is different though. The elder brotherās Chen means ādayā while the younger brotherās means ādawnā.
The family, including Lu Feng, calls the elder brother Xiao ChenāLittle Chen, a common endearing term placed in front of Chinese names."
I just read that Ayden signed with a major entertainment group from China...Congrats and so Happy for him ...it also means we're probably not gonna see him in another BL? š
Why do they call him Teacher Li? What is he teaching?
It's an honorific title, usually used to address someone who has some kind of rank or seniority in their profession; people use Laoshi to show respect to them. It's like the use of 'Boss' even though they're not really your boss. It is similar to the use of Sensei in Japanese culture.
As the rebellious and smart woman she is, I really want her to give the Queen Mother the clapback she deserves without any help from the Grand Prince or the PM. So far, the only rebellious things she has done are breaking small palace rules and dress codes; the rest is handled by the Grand Prince and the PM.
In the words of Queen Ra'Jah, "I'm not GAGGING!!" š Iām really not a fan of these Korean/Thai dialogues where one person speaks Korean and the other speaks Thai; it just didn't convince me to sway my vote. It was produced by the same company that made Love is Like a Cat...no wonder they went bankrupt.
Seeing the ādead fishā kiss in this episode after reading the novel and alllllll the āthingsā they did…
the other person is sleeping (well he's pretending)...do you want him shove his tongue down in that "sleeping" person throat and start eating his face?
I suspect that her sister's death is connected to his dad's accident. they showed for a split second of her reading some news about prosecutor, I-Rang's Dad, on a website...and I bet Taebaek setup prosecutor for bribing and killed her sister. lt's a wild theory but there's scene he's burning her talisman next episode so.... it might remain as a wild theory.
CHANGE falling back to its usual pattern...The first two episodes are interesting and the pacing was great. Ep03 starting to scramble and a bunch of stuff crammed in togher...it has very little to zero development to current case. No follow- ups with the ghost from last episode. didn't really explain how Thud was lad to the crime scene either. It feels like a filler episode to me.
Because he is a homophobe. This novel/series is not for the faint of hearts, if you didnāt like or hated Hua…
a gay person can be homophobic or homophobic-adjacent...or has some level of internalized homophobia. We have characters ike Type from TharnType is a homophobe or Akk from The Eclipse with some internalized homophobia issues.
If I am an illegitimate daughter of a has-been rich father and a stepmom who doesnāt treat you like her own daughter but instead always has her foot on your head, Iād be selfish and find my way out of that life too. Plus, the guy Iām marrying is my biggest crush, has a kind heart, and money??? Women at that time didnāt really have a lot of options to be independent, so yeah... I would have chosen myself and been selfish for the sake of my future and mental well-being.
I'm still questioning how Hua Yong has a "supposedly" sick sister, who is actually Gao Tu's real sister, whom Shao You once helped by paying her medical bill. Yet Shao You never questioned her health, recovery, or progress, and it never came up in their conversations, even though he and Hua Yong have been living together and sharing the same bed for quite some time now. It also feels strange that Wen Lang took credit for paying the bill when Gao Tu is still repaying him...WITH INTEREST!!!
