I’m in episode 20, can someone explain why ru yi is hiding her identity from Li tong? I mean wouldn’t it be…
They're on a mission, not just a simple one but a task that could determine someone's death, life, and future. One simple mistake, game over. It has been years since they last saw each other. In the eyes of the world, Ren Xin is long dead. Even LTG is not sure whether it is his master or not. Revealing herself at the critical moment, she doesn't want to put the entire delegation and Six Dao Hall teammates in danger. When she left LTG years ago, he was just a child. But now, when she meets him, he is not just a simple disciple of hers but an important official of An state, someone who captures the emperor of Wu. In contrast, Ruyi's mission is to save that Emperor. People change over time. Plus, seeing her own disciple having such kinds of thoughts towards her like a lunatic, how could she expose herself?
I can't wait for each episode every week, and it is going to extend for more than one month. So, I've decided to binge-watch it after all the episodes are out, or maybe I will start watching it after 10 or 12 episodes are released.
Here, I just want to know how is this show performing in Korea. Despite its initial criticism of the actor regarding his acting, how are the ratings, rankings, and competition with other TV series? Is it performing better? Please, someone who knows the answer, kindly reply.
I am not rating this drama until the whole episode is out.
except for some disappointments with the production team and other cast, Lusi's performance is always the best, especially her cute and endearing baby voice in the first 4 episodes.
I also felt that Wang Anyu is kind of off or perhaps it’s his character. In the first 15 mins he went from a…
Not sure how the further development will be. If Wang Anyu pulls off this character perfectly, then it would definitely be the golden gate for him. Getting paired up with 95-top actresses like Lusi is one of the best opportunities for him to break out of the circle.
Even during drama filming, many netizens were already criticizing him, saying that he is not suitable for costume drama. Well, it could have been another story if he could have been able to turn the tide with his performances, but judging by the first 4 episodes, it's less likely going to be the case.
I really hope his performance gets better along with the whole show.
They are just giving her water beast more character instead of being a loveable child pet. In book she was in…
Yes, the drama version changes too many things & i think added unnecessary third wheel characters as well. In my opinion, if they had continued with the original story without so much modification, it would have probably been better.
Is the ml the son of a character from ancient love poetry? how are the two stories connected?
yes, he is the son of Bai Jue and Shang gu, that little boy Yuan Qi who used to tease his uncle TianQi. This is the continuation story of Yuan Qi as an adult.
Setting a high bar is always disappointing in Chinese dramas. I know it might be too early to say this, but I find Wang Anyu's acting to be below subpar, especially in the angst or tragic scenes (though I loved his performances in modern dramas). I couldn't feel the vibe that I was supposed to feel from him. In the very first episode, when Gu Jin was punished, it felt too rushed. As an ALP fan and currently reading a novel of this drama, the drama included too many funny scenes and made A-Yin more rebellious & Gu Jin more dumbass; perhaps they wanted to add spice at the beginning of the show. However, where nuanced details were needed, they cut them out making the series lack depth & seriousness.
I was super excited about this because Zhao Lusi's projects never disappoint her audiences, especially big projects like this one. But for this one, I'm quite unsure. I love her cute Water Beast to serious Phoenix Queen. However, the whole drama doesn't depend on only one person. I hope it gets better.
The drama is getting better and better. Thank God, LTG is promising, as I thought he would end up as a lunatic, as most dramas with those kinds of characters do. But here, his character development is still underway.

The drama is becoming increasingly interesting, and it turns out Tong Guang is an obsessed man after all. It's quite scary.
Ning Yuan Zhou's explosive reaction at the end of the episodes was the best.
